My profound apologies, Joe. 'Twas I that clipped you and sent you into the sandbags. I was trying to be extremely careful on the run into this first corner and eased out of the throttle plenty early. Trouble was that I managed to mount the kerbing on the right and this propelled my BRM out into the middle of the roadway leaving you nowhere to go. My bad... Further, in looping about on the track after that initial contact, I collected Malcolm's Honda. So sorry for that, hannah. At least you were able to resume. No problem pal, and thanks for the apology. I was a bit distracted tonight, normal service will resume at the Glen (hopefully). Congrats on a well earned win KH.

Congratulations to who ever survived/won.
I spent half an hour trying to get to this page to find the password, SR UK was running very slow.
Spun on my only qualifying lap, unfortunately collecting John Roberts, sorry John.
Started last and was promptly bundled into the wall at the first corner.
Wish I hadn't bothered really.

Didn't much appreciate being divebombed off the track at the end of lap one, but never mind. Sorry Raoni for driving into you in a hasty attempt to rejoin the race, glad you were able to continue to a podium finish. Please be careful on the brakes when you're carrying full tanks, especially on cold tires and in a downhill braking area, you don't get any prizes for running out of road on the first lap. Ah well, you can't win them all, well done Tim, Raoni and Alex. Bad luck Tristan, similar thing happened to me last time out. Thoroughly enjoyed Bathurst.

Firstly I'd like to apologise to Ray (RonniePeterson) for taking him out of the race, I'd settled into something of a daze after knocking round by myself for quite a while, and my reactions were not at their sharpest when I ran into the back of him as he slowed to let me past. Unfortunately the end result was Ray winding up upside down, very sorry. Pretty lonely affair overall, I was relishing the prospect of a good battle with Art after he took pole (and a lap record), unfortunately Art found himself in the gravel by the second corner. Bob put in a very good performance in the BRM and gave chase for quite a while, but he must've had a moment because he dropped back very suddenly. Not much else happened, apart from a major lapse in concentration with 2 laps to go which saw me have a very big off, lucky not to hit any trees and bin the race there and then. Thanks as always racers and organisers, I'm looking forward to Carthage, certainly one of the more unique circuits and also where I made my GPL league debut two years back.

I do use a shifter so I almost invariably skip down the gears (sometimes up too if I'm accelerating down a steep hill), in the case of this track I was going from 5th directly to 2nd at the end of the long sweep, shifting the gear lever right across the gate from one corner to another. If you get your heel and toe sorted and match your revs with the speed of the rear wheels properly it saves a lot of time and effort, but as said above you have to leave the shifting until just before turn in or its easy to over rev your engine or lock your rear tyres. At the same time you want to make sure you're off the clutch by the time you start turning in. Incidentally I fluffed a shift in this very race, hence why I ended up spinning at about quarter distance, luckily just about missing the wall, it happens sometimes. Thanks as always for racing and organising.

Sorry Tristan, we were both in each other's blind spots at the time, have to say I was a little surprised to see your car appear out of the blind spot so close to my left side, I assumed that you would be taking a slightly wider line than that. Still, nice one for recovering for a podium and for fastest lap (and a new Race lap record!). Thanks for showing up and making it happen as always everyone, grats podium finishers and survivors, commiserations to those who didn't make it, 'till next time.

Glad to even make the race given graphics driver issues and a thumb injury rather curtailing any practice, but everything resolved in time for Sunday evening. Wasn't half tiring piloting the Brabham around those Eifel hills, the old machine was reliant to the end though and I'm pleased enough with just keeping it on the road. By the end my eyes were very much on stalks and my hands viced to the wheel. Well done to those who survived and as ever thanks to those who committed to showing up and/or organising the event as well as those who hosted practice servers, always invaluable for such a demanding event. 'Till next time.
