I'm starting a crotchet course on Thursdays. Just in case this wasn't a typo, it's an age thing, you're allowed to be a bit annoyed as you get older. If it was, I could really do with a tea cosy Pete, aka a hat. Billy Connolly said. You can't trust any man, who when left alone with a tea cosy, doesn't try it on.

That was pretty close in terms of pace from everyone and the start went better than expected with no major incidents. Unfortunate that we lost a couple of guys to spins that diffused the interest in the race. The tyres are a bit more peaky at the limit than I would want, but maybe we'll get used to them after a few races. A dominating win there for Jos.

That was kinda fun until I got a bit clumsy with the first to second gear upshift out of T2 and veered hard right into the barrier, game over. Looking forward much more to the Sciroccos next week.
Congrats Jos and podium.

Congrats to Jos on an excellent win. Was a fun race & I may have been able to challenge for the win if I had not made a few mistakes early on which made me a bit tentative in the first half of the race. Got a bit lucky when both Pete & Frex spun out of the race at T2 & Toni made a slight error which elevated me to 2nd. Thereafter I got my act together & started to gain slowly on Jos but only really got so close at the end because he eased the pace considerably in the last few laps. Interesting to watch Jos's video, he was using vastly different gears to me, maybe because the V12 does not have the torque of the V10, but at some corners he was 2 gears lower than me. I will have to experiment with the gearing options, possibly more speed to be found with different gearing.

Congrats to Jos on an excellent win. Thanks a lot Geoffers. I'm sure the issues you all were having behind helped a lot. Interesting to watch Jos's video, he was using vastly different gears to me, maybe because the V12 does not have the torque of the V10, but at some corners he was 2 gears lower than me. I will have to experiment with the gearing options, possibly more speed to be found with different gearing. One of the first things I noted in the new setup by phspok was the different gear settings and I think it had a clear positive effect on speed and times when compared with the previous one. I'm expecting it will have a similar effect on the V10s.

I think the original setups didn't have camber set to what appears to me to be sensibe, and the gears were probably just the default I just wanted to give people a base that was drivable. The updated setups are more complete, gearing is probably about right and the tyres should heat up more evenly across the width.
The thing that stood out to me in Jos's vid, was he, and it sounds like others, were using 1st out of the tight corners I used 1st for about 100msec at the start, and never got any use after that , I was using 3rd in T3 for a lot of the time and only started using 2nd as i got more confident. I do hope people don't get demoralised with these, they are so rewarding at some of the tracks, though can be challenging with tight corner exits.

Getting down to 1sr gives you an advantage, I think, but you can see that I was ultra careful with my throttle and had to do a few corrections nevertheless. Particularly challenging was T3 in the change from 1st to 2nd as this was still very tricky to manage with the car still not fully straight...

Like Matt I was using 2nd for T2 & 3rd for T3. Also held 4th through the two left-handers with the final two corners in 5th & 4th respectively. Can't remember what I used for T1 though! Jos was using 1st for T3, can't imagine with my gearing that that would be possible.

Couldn't participate because i forgot my adapter at the Netherlands.
Happy to see i had good training pace (high in the 1.16sec). Used the Martin setup but also changed the gearing back to the default setup. Only switched to second gear in T1 and T4. Still the start is really difficult.
Happy to see a youtuber participating in the RRE race's.

Hiya everyone.
Just signed up yesterday and looking to get involved in the FR90 races. I couldn't find the round 2 post so perhaps someone can point me in the right direction.
My name is Paul and I'm 51 and live in Angmering, West Sussex. I've been a sim addict for more years than I care to remember.

The post will appear when the lazy admin does it... It is at Hungaroring, and will be 30 mins/XXlaps (probably laps when I get some times to go off) And you are very very welcome EDIT: Lazy Admin has done the event page, almost. Even if there are no event pages, you can see the tracks in the Championship page here: https://www.simracing.org.uk/smf/index.php?action=LM2R&group=1352&theme=4Many of us here are senior racers, so you will fit in well
