Just noticed all the e-types have still got the 'e-type' filename extension apart from the RVS one.
As for the race managed to obliterate my previous pb by about 2.5 seconds in quali!
Made an ok start but Ossie and a Cobra flew past me, that Cobra is quick in a straight line so just waited until tyres were up to temp then started to pressurise him, it was made more difficult 'cos Phil was behind giving me grief too!  Cheesy
Phil made an error as did the Cobra and it was just me and Ossie, I slowly started to reel him in, watching his lines to spot a passing opportunity when I got closer, but he put a wheel on the grass going into the hairpin and spun.  Sad
Pribeiro was miles ahead so just settled in for second, but then the gap started to go down, and as Pribeiro said I had an inkling his rears were probably shot, and lo and behold when I came up to behind him the beemer was drifting everywhere!  Cheesy
Eventually he made a small error and spun leaving me to take 1st. Damn hard work in the Escort but much fun!

I'd also like to say the backmarkers behaved brilliantly and seeing as there were so many different classes fighting everywhere   it was brill to see all the skinned cars racing around.

Amazing  thumbup2 rockon

What a Hoot... that was good fun Grin

had a little battle with Bill early doors, great stuff mate...er...but can I have my paint back  laugh

Lapped 10/15 secs behind Adam for the next 20ish laps till his vet decided it would rather drive with it's rear end facing forward so managed to tootle past with 2 to go.

I am amazed at how slow the mini is in a straight line though....every time the leaders passed me I had to look and check I had moved into top gear....thought I was stuck in 3rd Shocked

Skins looked great...fantastic job painters thumbup2

Noticed MJ had a prob with the E-type (we ALL noticed MJ had a prob with the E-Type  laugh)
I will check why for tomorrow and report back.
Any other probs folk find, please let us know on here asap so we can fix it before the S4 starts.

Thanx everyone...grats to winners.

Well that was a funny race I would say. Enjoyable, but mostly funny. Smiley

Had a scrap with Adam at the start and then some other scraps until eventually I was on my own again so slowed down a number of times to get some more racing with people which I did. Sorry about the stupid error that forced Baracus off (nutty place for me to try and pass in GTL cars), but was fun watching all the cars sideways everywhere. I can still smell the tyre smoke now. Just a fun race so I didn't care where I ended just wanted to have racing.

Good idea to drop the Vette, it would have been carnage if I tried lapping the minis Smiley. And I had a blast in the Falcon.

Thx to Bara, Mj and Madmac for some fair, fun stuff. I see what you were doing Shark but it caused some grief between us lot. I didn't have a clue what to do, especially cause you slowed whilst we were being lapped. Only added to the fun Smiley

All the skins I saw looked fine. Good work all Smiley

If you said a mixed class race would be a good idea before that I'd say you were insane, but it almost came off Wink. Sorry to Tony who was stuck behind us, as we went 3 abreast, for almost a lap. Prolly wasn't so much fun from your end.

Grin Yeh sbg it was a bit off threading the needle at times, not wanting to spoil anyone elses fun, certainly added to the Escort induced tension somewhat!

was good fun, the mixed car grid looked fantastic going into the corners, but the variations in pace and handling between the different class cars makes racing a fine line between fun and mayhem !  Tongue

Had 3 CTD's trying to join in the Legends Jag. Vette and Fezza worked fine.

Good fun battles with SBG, Bara and Madmac? for quite a few laps. Was looking forward to a good dice with simon in the shark Fezza but my missus decided to walk in the room and stick her flaming hairdryer on! taz , i lost all concentration and my hard work of gaining 5 places fell apart...bloody women Roll Eyes

Still fought my way back upto 9th again, 2nd place non-76 car i think, behind Tinmans TVR  angel

That was a good laugh!

Sorry, I didn't realise it was a skin test as such other wise I would have offered to test a skin for someone. They look  Cool tho!!

Really nice to get that Elite swinging. It drifts so nicely on a trailing throttle.

Was a great race long tactical battle between sbg, Madmac and MJ that was excellent stuff!

I got a bit confused by Simon - I thought you had a problem or something, and didnt expect that pass but ta for waiting anyway.

I could take much more speed into the bends and it was hectic trying to find a line that avoided you Cheesy

Definately one of the most fun races I've had for a while Smiley

Hi Guys

What a race! Close racing from start to finish. Just couldn't believe how fast that Elite could go with Baracus driving it. Was originally going to take the Escort but after two treatments yesterday I was knackered and the Alpine was easier to drive. Glad I changed my mind because I enjoyed some great racing with Baracus, MJ and SBG. Probably the most enjoyable race I've ever had. Thanks guys.

For those who don't know I am now on radiotherapy after finishing chemotherapy and have had five treatments out of 33. I have to go every day which is a pain but if it works the doctors say I have a 50/50 chance of survival so it's worth the hassle.

See you all next week.

Fingers crossed for you Peter, hope you have enough energy to race on Thursdays to get your jollies - at least next week is nice slow cars.

That was a really fun race, having all the mixed up cars looking sweet in their shiny new skins.  I really enjoyed the constant lapping of the less powerful cars, and everyone was just fantastic at letting the faster cars through.  Credit to everyone.

Bit of a dull race in terms of fighting for places, after the first few laps I realised I couldn't compete with the lead four 76 cars unless I concentrated so hard I almost got a headache!  Had to ease off a bit, but then fatigue set in around 2/3 distance and I couldn't react quick enough to catch the car and kept spinning.   Tongue  I'd been aiming to stay on the lead lap, being about 2-s off the ultimate pace I thought that was a reasonable goal, but 5 or so spins and 25 seconds lost kind of scuppered that.  Need an easier track to last 40 minutes in a Cobra.  Cheesy  But still very enjoyable.

I wondered why I was gradually slowing - all your paint.  You lighter - me heavier.  Grin

Unfortunately that only lasted a few laps.  Roll Eyes  Our best battle I thought was in the practice and qualifying sessions where you put in a late burst to get into the 1:19s and beat me.  Sad  After you got away from me my race was rather boring except for my Norton Internet Security deciding to amuse it's self at my expense.  taz For laps 22, 23 and 24, on my lap counter, I had initially a slight stutter, the occasional momentary frame freeze and finally on lap 24 about 3 consecutive 2 to 3 seconds total freezes.  Shocked Luckily with the forgiving mini I survived it all and managed to hold onto my racing position, also I've not seen complaints from any of the lapping drivers.  After the race I found a "quick scan" lasting 5:11 mins had occurred finishing at 21:27.  Apologies to anyone else affected.

Not been able to see where to inhibit or cancel the blighter.  Not that Norton cares, I've turned off "auto update" but it did it anyway during a race on Tuesday.  hammer I won't be renewing with them again.
