Had a go at the Nordschleife - great fun!

8.26 on the tourist circuit (with several seconds lost half way round).

Even more fun in a 275  Smiley

1:32.482 at Mosport after a quick go, no real setup except short final on gears.
Oh and I'm running  in open practice.

1.30.2 so far. I'm a bit disappointed though, as I was expecting a real rollercoaster after GPL, but in fact it was more a case of how deep dare I go into the corners.

wow, some great times posted for Donington.  Cool  Not had a chance to get on it again and will have to wait until tomorrow.

i have much better sounds for the IROCs and widebody RSR's if anyone wants them. A proper Flat six bark and that tasty classic Porsche induction sound. Makes driving them seem even more real Cool

No problem, send me a pm with your email address.  Smiley

No i did not create the actual sounds themselves. These are from the 906 car which sounds a lot more realistic than the sounds supplied with the RSRs in this mod as i believe the sounds creator discovered and created these alot later than his early attempts at the porker. Hearing my own 911 at full chat made them instantly identifiable to me  Grin
I simply mix and match the best of the bunch and match them upto the correct RPM bands. These sound great to me as they capture the proper induction bark and characteristic flat 6 sounds. Cool
I may edit them further and get some transmission whine in there for the pure race car sound, though that would apply more to the less restricted wide-body RSR's than the near standard IROC RSRs.

wow, they are indeed good sounds !  Cool

I'll get hold of the mod and see if i can convert some sounds over for use in the P&G Porkers or at least mix them with my own set. Nice find Jos  thumbup1

i converted those Rfactor Porsche sounds over for P&G but they sound exactly the same as the ones i had already put together  Tongue
Rf uses a better sound range than GTR2 hence it sounding that little bit better in that video.

Will have to concede defeat to Pauls pace at Donington  surrender managed a 1:19.336 myself, which is vast improvement over my friday time !  Smiley Constantly switching between these classic old cars and the modern GTs is affecting my handling and more importantly braking distances !  Tongue

Cant get enough of these cars though, holding the balance right with some opposite lock in turn 1, craners and final hairpin is fantastic fun. Cool

well, I still think the rfactor version sound much better, less distortion and much definition...

They certainly sound better 'in Rf' (ie that video) because of the better sound range support in that sim.  I had similar problems with another mods sounds that i got from an Rf mod. They sounded great when i raced with it in rF but quite tame when used in GTR2  Sad
I even spoke to the guy who made that rF video today to make sure i had grabbed the right cars and he confirmed i had. Still a big improvement over the P&G 911 sounds and very similar to the .aud file i emailed you.  Smiley
