Tough race that. Difficult cars to push on with and sometimes frustrating but a good challenge to try to drive consistently. Watched as first Pete and then Dieter steadily drove away from me.....well done both Jules enjoyed the racing too so looks like we'll have another regular for our Thursdays

I enjoyed it very much, the cars are good fun once you get a feel for them not the easiest thing to drive for sure, but It was fun to drift into a corner and not spin automatically The results need to wait a while, but I will do them.

Enjoyed that last night but a little error and Dieter was passed, hassled him for a couple of laps before being distracted and missing my braking point in to T1. Managed to avoid collecting Dieter but that was race over

Wasn't going to do these, but 400 vrp left over after picking up a couple of tracks in the sale was just enough for the car and one skin. Glad I did as immediately felt nice - a bit twitchy over the kerbs for me, but lots of fun. Close race with GT and Pete, just a couple of small mistakes from each allowed me by. Nothing between us though really, hoping for more of that in future races! Thanks to all. Jules enjoyed the racing too so looks like we'll have another regular for our Thursdays

I've always loved Porsches but clearly they were the fake porsches in GTR2!
This car reminds me of the typical historic stuff, crap suspension meaning no grip. When the car is detecting wheel slip on the inside wheel on a corner exit you know the car is a bit dodgy! Couldn't brake or really accelerate cleanly so ended up dropping the brake bias back to 50% at 88% pressure and also reduced the camber all-round as it seemed strange how the car had max camber by default. That helped a lot but still was easy to spin up on the corner exits which was a shame as I was running with Matt but ended up dropping to the back.
Plus with so little damping in the car its bottoming out al over and you feel a lot through the wheel. By the end my arms was dead, having overdone it swimming beforehand.
It was my first time driving in cockpit view as well so was completely out of my comfort zone.

Might try changing camber, how do you know what tyres temps are across a wheel? I think these cars are a hoot, and yes they feel like old porches to me, the R3E proper GT3 pork is a very comfy Hector compared to these.

According to Raceroom's new physics man the teams in the RL cup series run full camber pretty much all the time. Lots of info about the development of the pork here........ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bhEQ3W2HFYA

I think it was simply reducing the camber gave me a bigger contact patch and so more grip. I did watch that video and wonder if i was driving the same car tbh.
