For season 15 I am trying to get a LMP2 pack together and decide on some suitable tracks to go with them. I have not decided what other car classes to use yet but, I was thinking of reducing the championship lengths down from 8 races as well. Maybe 4 lots of 4 race championships so we can use more classes although, 4 did seem a bit short last time in the GT2s.

I am still not 100% on the LMP2s yet.

We also need to add a GT1/GT2/GTC or 2 but, I have to see how this LMP2 business goes first as it has taken a large amount of my time so far and will continue to do so it seems.

What do people think we should do for season 15? Discuss. Smiley

I'd be up for LMP2s. When you say you're not 100% about them, what's the issue?

I'd be up for Lazlow's idea (though we'd need to slow the Porka down winkiss).

But has anyone thought of running the GT2's with the LMP2's maybe? Undecided

We gonna go two classes? Hope we can get the numbers. Undecided I'd be for LMP / GT2 Championship.

No, I don't think we've got the numbers either mate, I was just taking the micky (see Adam's signature).

Yes, I think a theme for each series is a good idea, ALMS tracks would be a change from last season and world GT1 championship is another one to consider.

Hehe, each to their own. Smiley Personally I think rFactor2 is the future, after all ISI is employed by race teams to make current F1 and NASCAR driver training simulators.

I'd be up for LMP2s. When you say you're not 100% about them, what's the issue?

Looking at some of the other leagues, the cars have had major changes to their various files to make good, balanced physics. It is all a bit above my capabilities. I am looking into permission to use physics from another league at the moment.

I think multi class racing is pushing it a bit considering recent attendances.

Any idea as to the area of performance in which the Porka has an advantage (power, mid corner etc.)? Also, exactly which Porka is it again?

what he said ! An ALMS style season would be excellent and a nice change   Cool...dont forget Laguna Seca !
Of course, we could make the 2nd half of the season an LMS series using Paul Ricard, Navarre, Silverstone and the mighty Le Mans etc or just do a full ALMS season using all their tracks.  Smiley

Advertise it with a swish poster over No-grip etc. and even invite our French friends who run the 12hour enduros.  Smiley

I like Lazlow's ideas, but I'd also like to see H@L's LMP2's Cool

How about the six races Lazlow suggests on alternate weeks:
Would love to see a 6 race ALMS style GT2 championship Sebring, Mosport, Lime Rock, Mid-Ohio, Road America, Barber Cool
Then on the in between weeks, we use the same tracks but using the LMP2's, again in its own 6 week series.

Might have the advantage of people practicing one track, would pretty much double up for the following week on the same track. Could encourage one or two more people Undecided

An LMP2 season + GT2 (or GT1) on alternate weeks sounds good to me. I think each series should be at least 6 races long, any shorter and if you miss a race or DNF it is very hard to recover.

Also is there any chance we could do a race at Bathurst in the next few weeks before season 15 starts (maybe GT2 or 3)?

I don't look at it this way. GT2 class is the most enjoyable class (for me) in GTR2, more than the Sports class in Race series. Undecided

That could work well but, I think we would need some more popular tracks than just the ALMS ones though. What about the best of ALMS tracks with the best of Euro LM racing tracks?

The Euro tracks are Paul Ricard, Spa, Imola, Silverstone and Estoril.
