UKGTR LMP2 test pack now available here:
https://www.simracing.org.uk/smf/index.php?topic=3356.msg169369#post_lmp2x

You need to have the v2.13.0.0 physics pack installed first.

As this is a test I would recommend making a copy of your UKGTR-GTR2 install and adding the LMP2s to that.

If some drivers could help me by trying out the cars and reporting any errors in this thread. I intend to test the mod on my own server some time on Monday or Tuesday after the official races. Just a few laps so if a few drivers could show up for that it would be great. I will give details of the exact time by tomorrow or Monday.

The author of the Lola does not want the car released to the general public, it is for league use only at this time so do not copy or redistribute any part of mod please people. Smiley

EDIT: Dave has now uploaded the next UKGTR car pack (including LMP2s) bellow the LMP2 test pack. You only need the car files but, I recommend the sound and skins also. You may want to download this instead as this will be uploaded on to the server soon (all going well).

I am going to do a quick test of the LMP2 cars on my server tonight after that Atlantic Series race (Tuesday 20th Sept 2011). I will have a 20 - 30 min practise to give people a chance to chill out a bit after the AS race then do just 10 mins or 5 lap race. Spa 2004. No need to practise or get a setup, just show up so I can make sure the server runs OK with no issues.

I only need a few drivers so any one willing to help out feel free to join if you wish.

The server will be called 'H@Lnet' and the usual UKGTR practise password will apply.

It will be the cars, skins and sounds 2.15.0.0 from here:
https://www.simracing.org.uk/smf/index.php?topic=3356.msg169369#post_lmp2x

Not the LMP2 test pack.

All going well, I hope to get the 2.15.0.0 UKGTR mod on the server for a proper test race on Sunday.

Yes.

In order to speed things up we will go straight to the car pack 2.15.0.0 test. I had intended to test the LMP2s separately, hence the 'LMP2 test pack'. You can still use that to test the LMPs on the 2.13 UKGTR mod off line and therefore not have to download the entire new car pack yet, but, I will be testing the 2.15 UKGTR mod on the server tonight.

When are we able to start skinning the car we will use for the league??

Start as soon as you like - and indeed post as soon as you like (here - having read the instructions), because the sooner you post, the more time there is for the skins to be checked and any problems corrected before the next pack is put together.

Didnt work well for me lol. spun on the first corner on the first lap and knackered my suspension.

Probly a combination of me being not too good and a not too good wheel lol.

I am now thinking lets do a ALMS style championship with the LMPs and GT2s (or GTC instead of GT2) for season 15 and then a European style for season 16 and maybe I can get some LMP1s on the go for season 16.

The track list for the real ALMS series in 2011 has been as follows:
sebring
long beach
lime rock
mosport
mid ohio
Road America
Baltimore Grand Prix
laguna seca
Petit Le Mans

The only 2 that are not in the SROuk list of downloads are Baltimore Grand Prix and Petit Le Mans. I think it would be best to choose 6 for the list of 9 for our championship. I am worried that we could have a crash fest with LMP2s on some of the tighter tracks such as MoSport. Maybe we could turn the damage down a bit for some races.

I am currently thinking out of the above tracks that the following 6 would be best:
Sebring
Lime Rock
MoSport
Mid Ohio
Road America
Laguna Seca

I would like to do multi class races but, I am not really sure that we would have the numbers for it. I think GT2 one week and LMP2 the next is probably better. We can still have the occasional special event with multi class races, I am planning on a multi class race with the LeMans circuit around Christmas time.

What do others think?

Sounds great, but would rather we did Long Beach than seeing Laguna again already.
Looking forward to some lmp action though. Smiley

We do have road atlanta Huh remember running it in PnG ages ago. However not sure it would work well with low ground clearance cars in that first section.

We do have a street track we could use... St petersburg not to mention a few other US tracks, Barbor. Dont mind them tho, but i feel i've done them to death already. Like the alternate weeks idea, good compromise.
