I knew that I was going to be in trouble with tyres.
I just didn't know how much!
After ten laps they were not so good and the Lotus hordes were all over me. Thank you to Tudor for allowing me back past after we came together mid-corner.
I had discovered on Tuesday night that there was little chance of overtaking unless the car in front made a mistake. Add to that the fact that the only saving grace of the TR4 is its grunt out of slow corners and it did mean that a Lotus was going to find it hard to pass a TR4, since the only place that it was faster was in the middle of all the corners and I was sat there.
As I laboured to get the TR4 turned, contact was almost inevitable.
So sorry for the traffic jam but I wasn't there to make it easy.
Congratulations to Giuseppe.
