as I dared on the inside, SBG broke later but spun across the apex (I felt no contact, I assume there was none ) and I was in 3rd. If you exclude me slapping my forehead (doh) , your right there. Thats exactly why I'm not to keen on racing the 550. For me, it seems to do to many unexpected things but I'm determined to get the better of it.

I confirm none of the Sonic cars pitted in. I didn't notice the change rules and not informed my team that we now have a mandatory pit. I told my team mates that 100L will last till the end. We also discussed what pace will be taking to manage the tyres to last the 80 minutes. We thought some would go without pitting and others would aim for a stop. We thought the best strategy would be to go for a non-stop race, considering the time we would spend in pit. The race really backfired at Sonic. When Shark congratulated Truetom for the win I though "What the heck, but I'm in front. What happened?" Then Shark said I forgot to pit in and I though he was just kidding for me going with a non-stop. Was only then that I realised something wasn't right. Gomes then take notice that a mandatory pit was in order. We three laughed quite a bit as we where commenting what a good strategy turned out to be and suddenly how a shot in the foot it was in the end. We all became a bit disappointed but we understand completely that it was a mistake from our part We'll be back at Magny this time well-read Sorry for the confusion and the mess this is causing in terms of final race classification

Mark - don't worry, the results will be corrected to take account of missed pitstops. You won't lose any points.

The mandatory pitstop is mentioned in both the main rules on the website and on each of the race announcements where it is applicable. Moral of the story...always read the race announcement post.

Good race, i'm not discussing an incident here but if you go into T1 with brakes at 30'c you're going to have to brake about 20 meters before normal braking zone. This is why I always give it some brake and throttle to get my brakes up to about 200'c before exiting last turn. Thought I had the win in the bag but my team mate SpaceFox maintained good pace and could easily have won except for a couple of spins.. grats to Zacari for the win, some good consistant pace there - quite surprised actually I must have lost a fair chunk of time in pits!! Nick, there's program called KeyDelay at bottom of first post I made here https://www.simracing.org.uk/smf/index.php?topic=1146.0 .. it's great for stopping double shifts. Let me know if you can't get it working.

Well I am absolutely gutted, only got permission just before the race to join in (mix up on registration or something). Anyhow got out on track for qually only to find my throttle sticking on at 40%, making it damn near impossible to to get around the track. Pitted and unplugged pedals to sort it out and got back in just as you guys set off on formation lap. Still better luck next time.

FYI, looking at the lap chart stuff as an example, Truetom lost about 66 seconds making a pitstop and I lost about 63 seconds, although it's quite approximate due to the need to warm up tyres before being able to go same pace and so on.

NP I had visions of it turn out lot worse than it did only lost 2 sec and the pit stop was my own fault for forgetting about the damage which i did abit myself at the start of the race.

Please don't forget to send your incidents to me by PM before wednesday 20:00. That way I can review them and have the moderator's report ready before next race.
