Well I really thought I'd stuffed up royally there, managed a pb in quali but tried to drive safely, which I did, until my in lap when i had a brain fart and threw it into the wall ( cue James May favourite saying).
Pribeiro decided to join me but I had stalled it in the ensuing spin and he hadn't, no problem I thought just pit any way and try to get in front of SBG......brilliant.
Except........my pit crew were having lunch and kept me sitting there waiting......and waiting.....before eventually getting up and working on my car
, as I sat there contemplating heinous crimes against my pc I waved as everyone drove past.
Eventually I was released in 7th, and tried my best to catch up, Mark was passed while in the pits and Assassino had a moment so I got passed him (damn that McLaren is quick) I then reeled in Martim but just couldn't get past.
So I thought I'd lost it to SBG/ Pribeiro, only to see SBG in the pits granting me 3rd, I still wasn't sure until the results were posted, woophee
,but only just.
Congratulations to Pribeiro for an absolutely stunning drive (please stop reeling me in and making me work!) and also commiserations to both you and Ian for just missing out on a very possible championship win .
Also Dan's team RVS are the winners too so a big pat on our back for that one.
I too must congratulate the organisers for a truly solid and worthwhile effort in giving us all this opportunity to enjoy GTL like this again, it has been absolutely brilliant, take a bow gentlemen, take a bow.
I believe the next season will also become a classic battle, bring it on!
