Just realised this makes two Bridges on the same week, as Tony has one on the Monday. Was not intentional. I might use a different track if people are unhappy with it.

Chortle. Actually I usually try to avoid using the same tracks in the same month as Tony this time I just thought "Oooh we haven't been to the Bridge for a while"

I don't remember there being this much sand at Bridgehampton!! I can't get the hang of these monster cars around this place, may as well try to race an aeroplane around someone's kitchen. I predict not many finishers for this one. Mind you, if Daytona is anything to go by there won't be many starters either

Testing on the server last night with Federico confirmed that I'm nowhere near quick enough in these beasts!

I was all set for a long and lonely race to finish 2nd when Federico was slow off the line. I suspect deliberately. So I had a few fun laps trying to keep hime bottled up. The last thing I had expected was to have to race as well as try to stay on the grey bit and in the end I went off and shot through the dunes, cutting off the Light Bulb. It said I had to do a SnG, which was a shambles as I had never done one before. However, my lap through the pit lane didn't register and so I was shown as a lap down. Then Evil departed, Postal already having left! Fed then tried to bring me back into play by going through the pits to give me a lap back and then stooging around waiting for me. I never got there. Trying to work out what was going on was too much for my tiny brain and I killed the car against the barrier. As far as I know, Fed is still in there on his own! EDIT: And Matt had run away before the start!

Needed to do some work on my real car, had no setup, and looked like I was to spend a lonely race at the back based on my rubbish times, so went and jacked the car up before it got dark.

I was DQ'd too, but I did not see a warning ?? I also took the short cut over the dunes. If I had been truly "evil" I could have taken the lead because Fede and Clive were still negotiating The Lightbulb when I emerged from the shrubbery and hit tarmac at an impressive rate of knots!! But I waited on the side of the track for them to pass and then rejoined, some 5 seconds behind. All in all a little frustrating, as I felt that I had the pace in the Falcon to match Clive's pace ( certainly not Fede's 1:42's!! ) but just could not hook up a smooth lap and I knew that I was losing 1-2 secs by being too aggressive. A shame that the turnout was so small and then further decimated by Matt not starting and Postal throwing in the towel. 3 cars on track after lap 1 and one of those out of touch ( me) is not looking good for the survival of PnG as a viable format. Maybe it is the summer hols and fine weather that is keeping people away? Just a heads up, that I may not make next week as I am doing the same up in North Wales for a few days so I hope a few more turn out or it will be the Clive vs Fede Show??!!
