They weren't kidding Smaller adjustment ranges in most categories including ARB's, Springs, and no individual gear cog tweaks. Less wing too. But car feels really planted although I felt that the steering was more prone to understeer and the brakes less effective but once you know these things it's a blast to drive.

Tony, I am downloading the update now, I was hectic busy today. They also changed the G27 settings, and my wheel was perfect. Hope I can make good adjustments before Thursday..
Its going to be fun Thursday.
They did not seem to do much to MP, I hope they put a little more time between qualifying and the race, so we don't lose Mr Berger like on Thursday.

There is also a server update which I have installed, can't easily see what the changes are. The main game update is a biggie, takes up to an hour depending on your net speed. please make sure you have done the update and reset your setups before Thursday race time

Indeedy, if I can have all the entrants's names, exactly as they appear in RaceRoom, then I can add them to the names that Crew Chief can read, so the race information will be a bit more personal ("Morris is pitting now", "the next car is Morris", "you're reeling Morris in, the gap is now 0.4 seconds", "Morris smells of manky boots", stuff like that).
Even if the names don't make it in, you can still ask about other drivers with the voice recognition - "where's Berger", for example (the app will answer "p1". Always "p1" for Berger. I might even hard-code it to save the app having to rummage through the data looking for the leader. Grrrr).
All this is still unreleased - I've got the day off tomorrow (woohoo) so I'll get it all finished off and tested. I'll post a heads-up here, but the main release thread and links will be on the S3 forum's Community Workshop forum

hi anty, this could be interesting for you, as in past i think your car was sometimes unvisible for other drivers.... •Fixed an issue with players not seeing each other outside of P2P zone. perhaps this fix your problem that you are sometimes unvisible (i think you was this?, or was this someone other?) servus

If you don't want to use the voice recognition, you just download the crewchief zip file, unzip it, run crewchiefv3.exe, select "race room" from the games list, and click "start application".
Then launch race room and that's it, it should all just work

You'll get regular updates from the app, like the ones I posted above (and a load more), without using voice recognition. The voice recognition is useful but I often drive a whole race without ever need to use it. The app is designed to work without needing it.
The app tells you things when they happen - lap times, damage, pitting, lead changes, etc

Finally did some laps! About 5 before to went to work this morning hardly the best prep for such a great combo. Hope to get some laps in this eve before the event. 2:14 so far but sure more seconds to find. I'm still not happy with the steering feel in RR, just doesn't give me the feedback I'm used to in AC. All a bit vague and floaty. M1 Setup seems to have less options now. No adjustable diffs etc

My steering feels spot on, a bit heavy but not hard work to turn. I haven't changed anything re FFB since the upgrade.
