I managed to go online and practice for about an hour with phspok and BurtonR although I got a GAMEDATA SIM_GTC.gdb mismatch message every time. To start with I was about 6 seconds off the pace in the McLaren at Imola but for the last few laps got it down to about 1-2 seconds with a 1m52s lap. Great fun once I began to learn the track and started to get the hang of the car.

BTW Tony I wasn’t expecting a reply to my PM. I just could find no trace of sending it.

I still have my problems offline, I have tried installing the SIM_GTC.gdb (I notice the original file was compressed) now numerous times after various downloads with no success. I just cannot get the 1967 GPL Class to show in Events Options. The only way I can get to drive the cars is to sell them to the Dealer and test them on one of three tracks. I don’t suppose I need to load Version1 first? It seems that something is missing. Possibly a modification to the “Select Track” Event Option” window. I see the cars in the showroom but it doesn’t show a Class. Anyway, I’ve got to December 30th to crack it.  hammer

I can copy my entire F1 1967 install for you. Be a big download tho. You can then swop .plr files and you should be good to go. Let me know if you want to give this a try.

I guess this would be a bullet proof way of me having a working F1 1967 installation, a very big download but should not be a problem. I will swap the PLR files from the User Dater folder. Could I just swap the folder named misnoimis?

Thanks Tony, if it works I won’t care if I couldn’t solve the mystery.  thumbup1 I am just going out now but will be home about 5pm.

IMPORTANT. READ THIS

The mods have produced an upgrade for us which hopefully fully addresses the brake balance issue that some drivers commented on.

Get it here

Install as usual and allow to overwrite existing files.

Thanks Tony, up and running OK. Couple of points:-

Trust in F1 Season 16 we will race on 1960s GP tracks not current artificially slowed tracks eg Spa.

Which Server should we logon to tonight, SROU or Matt's server for practice?

I assume the SROUK server is running Thompson for Monday's race.
That's why I set mine up, so we have a (semi) permanent F1_GTL server to play on.

Thanks Matt, it was just that Tony had said he would have our SROU server set to Donningto GP tonight for testing.  I'll go to lobby and see what F1 servers are available and join the populated one, probably after 2000 hrs. Grin

OK guys you have been warned!

Sometime today I intend to install this F1 mod on my computer.  Roll Eyes

History will tell you that :-

New software + My Ineptitude +  Computer = a list of problems

So, now might be a good time to take your partner away for a few days of Christmas shopping. It might be expensive, but it will be a lot less painful than reading my posts!!!
