You will be well over budget though.

That's okay, I don't plan to do all the races and I don't mind being disqualified later in the season if I overspend. Tongue

This will be our new scoring system for the 'Tokens' season:
Looks good from here  Smiley
That's good, because the structure for the new seven race "Tokens Season" has been set up HERE & the new scoring scheme is being created in the system for us by Dave too. Smiley

I dislike tokens. I don't have the time to work out which is the best car selection for each race based on how much they each cost. I'm just going to pick a car I like and drive. I don't think there's going to be much racing with such a variation in cars. How can you tell whether you really beat someone if you're all in completely different cars? UKGTL works because the car choices are restricted so we actually race each other in races. Unrestricted choice is bad for racing, even if the token system might make the championship table close.

Anyway enough of my opinion on tokens, I think for Daytona I may have to pick the Daytona, just cause it seems appropriate. Grin

I'm afraid with the token system the battling will be done on paper, with the points, not on track as the difference is just too big. I also miss out on some great cars because I can't afford them.

I'm ready to get pleasantly surprise tonight and prove me wrong.

Thanks for giving us your opinion on Tokens after we've made the group decision to go with it  Roll Eyes

Picking a car you enjoy driving is always a good start & if you want to be near the action at most races, pick a car in the middle of your budget range. It'll work more often then it wont  Wink

Sorry, I've not been keeping up-to-date with all the goings on here I'm afraid. Just came to check what the race was this week and noticed all this stuff about tokens. :'(

What happens if you have tokens left over at the end of the season?

As we said, this was not a good place to judge it. Look at the grids over the next 2 races and it will certainly be a lot, lot closer.

P.S. Where can I find a table of how many tokens anyone has left after each race?

Good question. Are you expecting to knock something up Dave or do you need something from me / a.n.other? If so, what would work best?

After your earlier post, I'm glad you're still showing an interest in P&G Tokens Simon Wink

I'll be updating what people started with & still have left to spend in the 2nd post of the next race thread
Open to ideas from anyone on improving that?

Just trying to make sure I will go negative before the end. Tongue

Would be good if there was a table, like the championship table, available from the championship standings page that showed you total tokens, tokens used and tokens left.

Legzy, you already have the means to do it - click on the "Drivers & Teams Standings" title at the top of the standings page, and you can edit the series information to include the current tokens position.

Are you expecting to knock something up Dave or do you need something from me / a.n.other? If so, what would work best?

I don't "knock things up", I carefully craft them. Cheesy Wink Tongue ninja

The system still seems a bit experimental, and I can't see it lasting more than this season without some structural changes, so I abdicated responsibility for it to Legzy and Tony. Wink

"The Game is FULL"
This is just great cant join because its full, I thought there was enough for everyone, now what happens to my tokens:/
This is just pathetic..
That is unlucky Rob. Our servers are limited to 28 drivers & I understand your obvious frustration. P&G is proving very popular & all I can advice is get there early to avoid disappointment (& hope the server doesn't throw you off Wink).

Basically, if someone doesn't race (for what ever reason that may be), they lose their average number of tokens (i.e. I have 77 tokens for the season, so I would lose 11 tokens for not racing).

As you have not got an official tokens budget yet Rob (because you've not competed in a UKPnG Clubmans event), you have not really lost any tokens. Assume you've got 60 for the remaining season, but like I said, after your first race I may boost or reduce that total. Smiley
