Championship standings HERE TRACK #7 Grid/server capacity: 22 Track: Goodwood Cars allowed: AC Shelby Cobra 289 FIA (not standard GTL cars) PM WT for track/car download pack Practice: ~19:20 (60 mins) Qualifying: 20:20 (10 mins) Race: 20:30 (34 laps) Time of Day Setting: 14:00 Start: STANDING Tyre wear: Normal Fuel consumption: Normal Pit stops: Not Required Server: simracing.org.uk Wednesday Password: see aboveNotes: (1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage. (2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules. (3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read Autopit="0" Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable. Special Notes: None

Robby has a strange problem with the car. I try to help him but without a luck. We try different car on Goodwood and it worked, so the problem is with the car. Even with vanilla installation and new profile the game keeps terminating the .exe when we try to enter the server. The strange thing is that i don't have problems on my PC. All other cars in Robby's install are working btw.
Meanwhile there are differences in the skins - some are with more weight and more top speed.

Just came to say that. The top 2 cars are lighter and less powerful than the rest. Do we ignore those 2?

All works fine with my install. Robby might consider deleting the cars and re-installing them.

Thanks, Tony. Got to say the lighter version seems easier to drive and just as fast per lap as the heavier one.

After some more testing with DD, we've concluded that the the lighter spec car (top 2 skins/numbers), is quicker than the heavier spec car by around 0.5 sec a lap. On the other hand, the heavier car is more predictable and forgiving to drive.
If anyone needs a base setup, I've uploaded both of my setups to the online database.

I tried both of them yesterday and as you guys, I was a little faster in the lighter car - by about 0.2 - 0.3 secs. With the heavier car, I was quicker with the lower gearing and found it easier to drive. Kept feeling that the higher gearing should potentially be quicker, but no matter how much I tried, I couldn't better the time I did with the lower one, first and foremost because the car kept getting out of shape for me, being trickier to drive. With the lighter car, I had to use the higher gearing, as the low one was way too low.
This was with one of my own Cobra setups, back from the Cobra/Corvette series, but will try yours Hristo.

The two hard top cars use a 50mm narrower tyre according to the tyre specs.

Having now got GTL back working with my G29 I was hoping to join this race but for some reason the car crashes the game. Here is the last few lines of the trace file, could the experts tell me what is wrong?
