Mondello! a good track? Really? There's a reason it doesn't appear in the forthcoming list you know Nowt wrong with this track config! :- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mondello_Park In the early glory days of GTL with full grids, we had some corking races there. Yeah, like three in total and the last was in 2007. ( https://www.simracing.org.uk/smf/index.php?action=LM2R&location=13&circuit=25) That's not what I'd equate to "popular" But your right about the grid sizes

good fun that, not been much of a touring car fan for years, but these do look great from the cockpit with a decent grid jostling around you in very close action. The racing is close and intense though it takes some getting used to sitting on someones rear bumper into tight corners and chicanes. 1st race was great, plenty of battles throughout and position changes, but sadly all went pear shaped when i got a rear left onto the grass at T2 with only 4mins remaining and span 2nd race...some rascal smashed into my backside at T4 on the first lap and dropped me from 11th to dead last and about 10secs down on the whole field Not what you need in these cars as its nigh on impossible to remake the time up with the cars running so close lap times. However i was gifted a good fight for half the race when one or two other drivers had incidents and it led to some great chase fighting for many laps with Tibs & Matt. Matt got a wheel off with only 2 laps left and i nipped past. Stayed close to Tibs for many laps but couldnt quite get close enough. Good stuff.

Hm, tried the Alfa, my first FWD car. Must say I didn't find it very enjoyable, beemer is much more fun. My slower laptimes are probably more due to not knowing how drive this car and how to set it up, how the diff in front influences driving, etc. Quali set was ok but as soon as I added fuel it became rear happy and my usual setup corrections didn't work the way I thought they would. So I had to drive more slowly, else the mistakes start to happen, as they had in the second race. All in all this is good fun, probably more so if you're not far away in front. Nice to see more faces on the grid.
