Likewise Bernie - the scourge of our Seasons.  First there was the 'Black Death', and now, Disco-itis! :-[

Pity, Evil, that was an amazing race! If it's any consolation, you kept the fastest lap.  :)

For some reason last night I just could not get it together. My car was oversteering then understeering then oversteering the whole way round.... All I could do was plod around to qual last :(
The race itself started OK, slipping past 2 guys that touched at T1 but after only a couple of laps I was off the track and spinning madly, coming to rest on the racing line with a car fast approaching... A catastrophic collision was imminent and so I hit esc and bailed out... I think the guy I "saved" was Skymole... hope you all had a better time than I did.....

I have at last recovered from my self induced headache after banging my head last night. :'(

That was a great dice Hristo and there seemed to be very little difference in our speed lap after lap. You had probably realised that I had had tested your speed out of the final corner a couple of times in preparation for the last lap  ;)

It looked like neither of us was going to break clear and everything would be decided on the run from the last corner to the chequered flag. It seemed that I just about had the extra power to stay in front if I was leading and just enough grunt to squeeze ahead if I was close behind exiting the final bend... so things looked very interesting as the race developed.

The only passing place ( unless one of us screwed up) was at the end of the straight and we swapped places under braking a couple of times and it really was a case of who wanted to lead for a few laps. :D

My setup was working well but a couple of times I overdid the sideways thing, and the rear tyre temps went sky high so i had to back off slightly and be "nice" to the car for a few laps until grip was restored.

With about 5 laps to go I dropped back slightly just to have a breather before the final few laps, which were bound to be very intense as we both went for the win. I think that was probably my mistake, because I relaxed slightly and clipped the bank before Hergozinglytightuslongbendything. That pushed me wide on the exit and I placed the wheel a little too far into the sand which dragged the car off the tarmac.
At the speed I was going, which was just about flat in 5th at that point, the car simply shot up over the sand dune, barrel rolled and landed upside down with no chance of recovery. i guess that is the risk you take in driving at that level..lol.

At least I felt that I had given Hristo a race...which is unusual, but I like Zandvoort and that 2 litre Brabham BRM so everything was in place.
Grats to everyone for a great championship and to Hristo for the win. ;)

Also to Goran for organising and moderating. ;D ;D

Disco at the same time as Natan, Martin and Bernie. Shame really as we were pacing ourselves for a 1,2 3, 4 finish! Better luck next time guys.

Would that be in class A, B or C  ::)

Idea for S22 why not have a Disco championship ?

On second thoughts , Martin would win hands down  ::)
