Moderator's Report
There was too much chatter using voice-comms and in game text. Please refrain from using either in the qualifying and race sessions.
In sim, or on the forum, we do not want any finger pointing with relation to on track incidents. Please raise an incident report to allow the moderators to deal with them.

Shark tries to folow the other Corvettes through the chicane, but Bernie moves across and there isn't enough room. There was more room on the outside that could have been utilised to allow the lapping Corvette through.

T4 was likely to feature in the moderation - and has generated much discussion following the race.
Ginsters took his normal line, and although not required to lift to help the lapping car through, had Ginsters done this it would likely have prevented the incident as he could have taken a wider line and prevented the incident, in addition to not overly affecting his race as there was a significant gap infront and behind him.
Unfortunately Jamie was committed to the pass before Ginsters turned in. Jamie was a little optimistic in his lapping attempt, there should have been some expectation of the Mustang taking a normal line. Given the proximity of the other Corvettes to Jamie it is understandable that he didn't want to lose time in slowing up, but ultimately lapping safely is the responsability of the passing driver.
The incident comes from a misunderstanding of what each driver was expecting the other to do.
Both drivers could have taken steps to avoid the incident, and such warnings have been assessed.
UPDATE
On appeal, Ginsters warning has been reduced to a caution. Primary responsibility for a safe pass is always with the faster car, and Jamie put his car in a position where Ginsters HAD to lift or crash, in a situation where he could've chosen to delay the pass until after the corner, and where Ginsters had given no indication that he wanted Jamie to pass in that corner.
In mitigation, other Mustangs had allowed Corvettes to lap them in the same corner, particularly in situations like this where the Mustang didn't have another car in close proximity, and the Corvette did. Since Jamie did not respond to the incident report, we cannot say whether his expectations had been set based on the behaviour of other Mustangs.
Multiclass racing is by its nature a cooperative venture between the classes, and being entitled to take a corner as normal doesn't necessarily make it the sensible thing to do. The slower classes have a right to expect the faster cars to be patient when there is no reasonable way for the slower car to help them to pass, but this does not entitle them to expect the faster cars to soak up all the time lost doing so when a little cooperation would not only spread that time between both cars, but reduce the total amount lost.

Whilst being lapped Robert is actively racing Jonathan through the infield. He was alongside Robert round the oval banking, and into turn 1 Robert could easily have lifted/braked earlier and allowed him to pass without compromising his laptime.

A carbon copy of the previous lap - Jasper was alongside Robert round the oval section into T1, but Robert is actively racing the lapping driver rather than conceding the corner and allowing the lapping driver past.
