Were you both on the Magny National course or something, might explain your pace. It really caught me out first time around. I had a same sort of thing in practice mo. When I requested stop all I heard was some mumbling from crew but it was drowned out by engine noise. Luckily everything was fine in race last night.

Should you make request for pit stops I just drive in announced. That's one of the great unanswered questions of GTR! There's a rumour that if you use the 'request pit-stop' function, it's quicker because your pit-crew are then ready for you when you drive in. However, AFAIK, it's never been proven whether this is the case or if it's just another urban legend

..but at least you know not to pit if they say dont acknowledge the call.
It might help avoid some of the pit problems mentioned above.

Should you make request for pit stops I just drive in announced. Why risk it? I always request pit. How else is my team going to know they need to get my special second half of the race race tyres and extra octane fuel ready for me? I can never make out what they say over the radio so I just press my button give them most of a lap to get ready and then come in. Always works for me, never a problem. I usually fill the tank full at the start to save time in the pits, so I never get the pit call anyway, so I have to request pit stop as my fuel would last all race. I must admit I was tempted to do a no stopper after 40 minutes yesterday because my car felt ok, not stunning but not really bad. Glad I didn't cause in hindsight I don't think the tyres would have actually lasted as well as I would have hoped despite my smooth conservative driving.

True i never thought of that, what the possibility of them saving me 10 minutes as that the sort time i need to make up . When ever i tried to do the car to pit radio i find it very hard to hear what they say is this normal? While were on the topic of fuel. is the gauge that show how many laps you can do correct? I seem to use more than i should. 80 minutes im having to use 130-160 liters

Well , i had a uneventfull race all in all... In qualifying there was a lot of trafic and didnt get a decent lap in but got the 2nd place atleast. In race CJ disapeared after few laps and others behind me run into some troubles , so my race was very lonely , only action i saw, was when there was cars to be lapped ahead. Took my time to get past them as safely as possible and lost a huge amount of time compairing to CJ , but it didnt change anything , coz CJ's pace was out of this word anyway . Had one wierd incident when i was closing a red F360 (i think) in last part of the track and i was going to lap him soon , suddenly that car started to warp towards me backwards and i tried to slow down and changed to other line , but finally that car freezed in last corner and i went through it . Dont know what hapend to that driver , tried to look back but never saw the car anymore , looked like a connection issue to me , but sorry anyway if i hit someone there. Unfortunately there seem to be a slight misunderstanding on team roster and i was not racing to my team (GTNDC) , so this effort went a bit waste , but 'stuff' hapends and i hope everything is in order before next race. Thx for the fun and cya in next one , if there are available seats that is.. edit: Congratulations ofcourse for Claus (GT) and Mo (nGT) , dominating performance .

To whomever it was I drifted into on the straight leading into the right hander that exits the pits, I formally apologize. I got a wheel or two of the track when I slowed to allow someone to pass. My bad and I am guilty as sin. I reported it for what it is worth. I did my best out there allowing those to pass. I have a long ways to go and still learning how to drive fast. My rig reset on lap 27 or so. I live in the states so I hope it was just a disconnect from the lobby. Still investigating I had a great time just the same. The experience I gained was awesome. Thanks to all those who put up with me yesterday!!! You guys are cool!

Depends on the car. Most are pretty accurate, but it depends how you drive it too. It bases the value in the garage on how you've been driving in the session you look at it. So normally this means you get more out of a tank than it says as you rev it more in qualifying and less in race. I tend to only go up to the first red line on the rev counter (on the HUD display) in the race to save the engine and keep fuel consumption in "the zone". The Lamborghini is particularly thirsty on fuel and it always seems to use more than it says whatever you do, but that might be the way I drive it.

I see you have now been invited to join GTNDC so you just need to do the join bit from this post and you'll be sorted for the next race.

So I made a pit request but they responded with something I couldn't quite make out (it definitely wasn't the normal come on in kinda thing). So I requested a pit again and got the same muffled reply I had exactly the same thing Mo, i did wonder why it was muffled and whether they had said something different but couldnt make it out and have never heard a different response to a pit request. Do they say 'dont come into pit or go around again' if someone else has been allocated that fuel stop ? This endurance series is my first experience of pitstops in GTR so perhaps there are more responses? Anybody know? It all points to a sync thing or GTR not providing enough garage slots to the cars on track for simultaneous stops.

Was the big red square flashing? (Dunno if you get that in the cockpit view, certainly you do from the bonnet view.) If you get a muffled response quite often you need to ask again, although with pit stops that can be a problem because you might be inadertently cancelling it! Hence the Big Red Flashing Square thing. (Try it offline and you should see what I mean.)

Poor race from me. I just do not seem to be able to get the hang of this track and struggle to keep the car on track for more than 5/6 laps at a time, although I did manage around 20mins in last nights race. I knew I was going to be in trouble during the week, when I could not break the 1m 41 barrier in a Lister. Qually finally saw me do a 1m 40 but was still slower than the fastest N-GTs. This has got to be my worst track as I'm normally closer than this to the default time.
Race started OK, gained a place due to the spin at the hairpin, I then missed the braking point at the first quick right/left sequence and dropped a couple of places. Gained those places back over the next few laps, was soon lapped by JC and then it started to go wrong. Had a couple of spins into the gravel at various points on one lap and ended up losing more places, in trying to get them back ended up driving into a wall. Don't think the car was badly damaged but decided I was in the wrong frame of mind for racing and called it a night.

GTR quite aften gives that garbles pit request reponse, but I have yet to figure out what exaclty causes it. I always just hit the request again, this then often creates the "ok pit request is canceled" and then once more until I get the "ok pit in at the end of this lap". One way or the other it should not effect your pit process though, you can actually turn on the HUD and it shows a light if you have a pit request current. I think one thing that can mess it up is, the game will automatically generate the pit request based on the setup loaded, then if you hit the pit request button it can turn it back off. As far as the problems guys had when pitting, some I think are normal some are bugs I guess. For sure there is only 1 pit box for every 2 cars, so if you pit at same time you will have to wait. This does not seem to be team related, but more of in the order you joined in. In some leagues I check to see which garage I share a pitbox with and check with that driver on pit strategy. If anyone noticed I pitted pretty early, and this was specifically to avoid this type of issue. (I will send you a bill for that bit of strategic intelligence ). I think if you have wierd stuff when joining the room though like 2 cars in same garage etc, that is a bug, and could be related to the AI taking over etc. I have rarely seen this, and especially should be rare with only 24 drivers. Its best to disconect and re-join in this case, which with the current "lottery" system of reserve drivers is a bit of a risk.
