That was another enjoyable race tonight thx Mark.

I'm really struggling with my PC at the moment. Took me 10-15 minutes to get it to boot properly into Windows (again) and then got into practice with 10 minutes left and Windows decided to flip AC out and in again resulting in me losing the screens. I had to exit and come back to get the framerate back again and just for good measure I turned some graphical settings down (something I've never needed to do before) to make sure it ran smoothly.

I think I finished 3rd in the end but should have finished 4th really as I passed Pete just before the finish line as he slowed out of the final corner. Did you run out of fuel?

During the main part of the race new recruit Denis managed to spin twice at the same corner in front of me and both times I had no chance to avoid and splat right into the side of him (twice) Hit with a wet fish. I guess he was just trying to get a new style left hand door without the expense of a body shop Kiss Grin Car nobbled from then and try as I might I could not fend off Pete at the end with my top speed gone and unable to take the 2 fast right handers at any decent speed.

See you next week.

P.S. Can I repeat that chat is NOT ALLOWED during the race. It's distracting for drivers and is against the rules of the league. Thanks.

First win here and on one of my fav tracks  Grin

The Merc felt really good here which I wasn't really expecting at first. Qualified 1st.
But from the start it was obvious that those damn McLarens have much better grip on cold tyres  Angry
Had to let Denis and Richard past in the first few corners and managed to take P2 back by the end of the first lap. Tyres were getting warm and I was close behind Denis, but he asked me aswell for the free bodywork but I politely declined and moved on   Cool

From there it was just a battle against the track, ignoring my poor left front tyre screaming bloody murder all the time. It even had the gall to refuse to do all the hard work the last few laps, had to take it abit easy from there  Tongue

Kinda glad Jeffrey wasn't here today though  angel

All in all, good race and looking forward to next week. Monza became one of my fav track since a couple of months  Grin

I did check the server when I copied the results off and stracker was running. However as Shark pointed out it didn't appear to be, can't explain why  Undecided

First lap in the Merc is a nightmare. You can plant your foot on the brake pedal and it sort of says "oh ok maybe, just a little bit, ahhh, oooh too much effort, no that's all i got, sorry", followed by "hello gravel".

Haha, exactly. Glad it isn't just me then. Wink
Had Richard fly by me first few corners every race so far.

Actually I take it back - it has data for both sessions now when it didn't when I checked earlier  Undecided However its race results are a little fictitious!

Phew that was a hot tough race  sweatdrop I literally had sweat dripping off me and I'm reasonably fit!

Didn't go to plan for me on my home track  :'(.

Qually boded well when I popped in a pole time  Shocked for a short while near the end but Maikel and Denis both pipped me. But then when I joined the grid I was wrong footed by the errant stracker/ptracker showing me in about 6th or 7th...no idea why it played up tonight. Huh
Got a slight duff start allowing shark to fly by but tucked in behind him and front few to chase hard for next 4-5 laps. I really thought I'd be in a top 5 battle tonight but got a tyre off at dingle dell and I stupidly tried to fight it instead of taking a straighter line off on the grass. As a result I slewed into the inside Armco  :'(
I must have bent a wishbone as had understeer the rest of the race but still had fun fighting my way back up from 12th to 8th with some good battles along the way. All good clean racing  thumbup1
Almost had FMG on last lap but he got very good exits at all corners and I couldn't put the Bentleys power to use to get him on the straights.
Was very surprised to not catch sight again of the front 6 but you guys must have kept it neat and fast for 22 laps on a hot night and tricky intense track. I couldn't even grab a sip of water it's so fast and furious!

Well done Maikel for the win and congrats podium and all who raced  thumbup2

Numbers were down as predicted due to main holiday spell now but hopefully back to fuller strength in a couple of weeks on people's returns.
Sorry to hear gp20 couldn't see the server. What is this issue as Others have mentioned it. Huh

Well I didn't get lapped this race so that's a step in the right direction  Smiley. Qualifying pace was poor but my race pace was reasonable, but it became clear I was running far too much wing on the straights again. Everyone seemed to breeze past me but it did make the racing entertaining. A couple of clumsy errors on my part dropped me places, including an unfortunate nudge to Tim, but overall it was good to bag 9th for my first points finish.

It'll be interesting to see how the McLaren copes around Monza, just hope it is my setup rather than a lack of power  Smiley.

Totally amazing race for me in my Nissan. Qualified 7th which was higher than I thought I would after seeing the times during the week. Made a good start but was more impressed with how clean and respectful the start was and lap 1. Very impressed which got giggling (been a few years since I've raced online in a league) Smiley

Settled in to a nice little battle chasing FMG for 4th whilst being chased by NSFW. Second giggle moment was looking in the rear view mirror seeing NSFW flashing his headlights at me down Diggle Dell to try and distract me lol Anyway, no problem keeping him behind and went to make a pass on FMG into Paddock Hill but got understeer and pushed him wide (sorry). Pulled over and waited but didn't see him pass me and ended up letting 5 cars pass me dropping me to 11th Sad

Then had another epic battle with Mark in his Bentley chasing me whilst I cut back through the pack. Caught up with FMG again and managed to get past, again into Paddock Hill, again not so cleanly (sorry...again) but not pushing him off thankfully this time.

Ended up finishing 5th which I am more than happy with and the Nissan was amazing. Just needed a few more laps as I could see 3rd and 4th just up ahead And I was catching them by over a second a lap.

So can't wait for the next one, I love Monza.

Wow, what a crazy race. Qualified fifth, because I wasn't able to do a clean lap. Last lap could have been P3, but I f*cked it up in the very last corner  Angry
Start was ok, lost one place, but my real problem started a few corners later when I was between all the other cars and couldn't hear my own engine, because the other cars were much louder than my Nissan, so I missed several upshifts due to that and lost two places  Grin (guess I need to adjust my engine volume ingame for the next round)
After that I found myself in P8, stuck behind another Nissan and a BMW. After some laps I had to avoid a spinning Mark in his Bentley, but I didn't find a way around the cars in front. Suddenly both cars in front of me collided in turn 1 and I was easily able to gain both positions. After that I was already quite far behind the race leading trio, but only one lap later I caught a Mercedes and a McLaren, which obviously went offtrack somewhere and lost some time. Drove one lap behind them until they also collided entering turn 4. I was very lucky to avoid both of them, but went through without a scratch on my car. After that I finally found a good rhythm and turned some good laps. I wasn't able to match Maikel's pace, but I came closer to Richard in P2. With eight laps to go and only 6 seconds behind Richard suddenly went straight into the barrier and disappeared. I guess he had some connection issues or his game crashed Huh Last laps were quite relaxed. P2 was the absolute maximum for me today, before the race I expected something between P3 and P5.
I had the feeling that any other GT3 car is bettera around Brands Hatch than the Nissan (or it's just me who sucks there Grin), nevertheless heading towards one of my favourite tracks next week makes me quite optimistic for the next round.
Congrats to Maikel and all the other racers who survived the heat and successfully finished the race Cheesy

btw: Stracker and those lap charts after each race are very useful. The championship standings  and race results here on the website + all the information (racing history) I'm getting when clicking on my own or any other username are just awesome. I raced in some leagues before, but this one is by far the best. Keep up the good work thumbup1
