Practice: 20:00 (30 mins) Qual: 20:30 (15 mins) Races: 20:45 (40mins)
Cars allowed: DTM2020
Time of Day Setting: 13:00 Weather: Dry
Start: Rolling start Tyre wear: Normal Fuel consumption: Normal Pit-stops: mandatory pitstop (at least 4 tyres)
Notes: (1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage. (2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules especially the rules about in-game chat messages. (3) You will need to install Race Room Racing Experience from Steam, and have the relevant Track Packs for this series (4) Please exercise caution when pitting as some tracks have a speed limit. (5) Please follow the SROUK guidelines for using kerbs etc. Please keep 2 wheels on the track surface (kerbs do not count as track surface) Excessive cutting of corners will seen as cheating and the results may be altered to reflect this. Might be an idea to actually specify that above!

you must change at least 4 tyres Oops didn’t see this! So ran last few laps with flashing red rear tyres warning but managed to complete the race by short gear shifting and going easy on the corners.

Another close battle with Geoff! wasn't sure about this event when I first tried these cars I just couldn't get below 2:11 and if ever a car needed traction control its these things!. So just managed to squeak pole from Geoff by a nats !*%! and at the start had a battle with both Mark and Geoff who I think had a few mistakes giving me a few seconds lead till the pit stops were I thought I had added enough fuel (22 laps) but obviously not as my pit crew added fuel which put me 1/2 a second in front of Geoff so here we go again he was on my case and with DRS, cold tries he was on me for a few laps, great racing with you! Once I got some temp in my tires I could slowly open up the gap to get out of DRS range. Congrats to the podium! JP

Yeh good race John & Mark early on. All 3 of us were fairly evenly matched on pace & each seemed quicker on different sections of the track. Mark appeared to have sector 1 nailed & easily reeled John & I in during the early part of the race, John could pull away in the middle section & I seemed to have the edge in the last sector. Had I not messed up my pitstop by overshooting & having to reverse I would probably taken the lead but John was quicker in the closing laps & most likely would have passed me anyway. Congrats to John on the win & to Stephen in 3rd. On laptimes, John, Mark & I all lapped around 2.09 & I cannot see how to go much quicker than that, but the RRE leaderboard has the top times at 2.02!!! How can they go 7s faster?

These are the worst DTM cars! The peaky turbo engine is going to be a nightmare on circuits where there are more slower corners.
Not sure how i was keeping up with you guys early on though realised the P2P could be used every lap and out of La SOurce was the longest full power section, having realised you can take Eau Rouge flat-ish.
With the tyres wearing super quickly (that can't be realistic?) a couple of spins later i nose into the wall and get damage with a couple of minutes left and gave up.
These are a bit too much work...

I bought the Beemer and was going to join this one but after an hour or so tip toeing my way around Spa decided it wasn't in the least bit enjoyable. Started me thinking about DTM in AC and remembered I'd bought one of the URD mods ages ago so spent yesterday evening racing those instead. Still full-on DTM but very high quality and driveable cars all for less than the price of a pint! https://www.unitedracingdesign.net/product-page/ac-t5-full-pack

I enjoyed that race, sometimes people forget that these beasts are faster than GT3's in real life and have less driver aids. I came into the race on Sunday night after a clean install of win10 over the weekend so was still trying to set things up but was determined not to miss this race at Spa! hopefully i will get some practice in before the next round at Brno
