Try and jump on MJ...

Is that an instruction aimed at Mark or everyone else?  Grin

was good fun albeit pretty intimidating!  Shocked Hadnt expected it to be quite so busy!!

Didnt get much preperation, hadnt used Ir for months, turned up 5mins before qually to find 29 other Mazdas whipping around.
Took it steady in the race, stayed out of trouble, avoided the spinners and finished 18th out of 30.  Smiley
Graphically it looks fantastic but i still think the sounds are god-awful !  Huh...maybe thats what these hairdressers cars sound like in real life?  Grin

Yeah - it was good to see you on track again MJ.

2nd race is reversed grid ... makes things pretty interesting ... especially the first couple of laps!

Lot of fun last night.

Doubt you saw much of me, i was further down the grid ! but at least i kept it clean with only 2 incident points for daring to use too much kerb  Shocked
"2nd race is reversed grid"
thats why i didnt stay for the 2nd race, i didnt feel comfortable with being near the front with a 30 car field jumping all over me as only my 2nd race in Ir in probably over a year. I still find the views to rear hard to judge. The rear view mirror has the cars showing as about 50m behind, then you catch a glimpse in the side mirror and they appear about 3-5m behind!  Huh Bit misleading.

Still, nice to see a packed grid of equal cars, makes for good racing and plenty of door scraping from where i was sitting!  Smiley

There's a setting in the graphic options to change the rear view mirror distance....forget what it says exactly Huh The most important thing imo is the spotter.

Your'll need to change the virtual mirror angle in the graphics settings Mark, but yeah, the mirrors not great.

Wondered why you disappeared for the second one MJ.

Wasnt doing to badly for only joining in qually, car still actully felt quite nice drive once i'd upped the rear ARB in the cup, but never really got to set a time. Shame  my first race ended at the first corner as 2 cars ahead tangled together, they both got on the grass on the inside, thought i could leave them to it and go by but i guess they tried to rejoin, giving me damage. Rejoined from pits just as I was being lapped, sorry Adam for putting you off. After that it was just a case of letting people by.

However this meant i was at the front for the 2nd race lol I always try and make a race of it for the 2nd but annoyingly one mistake and everyone goes by! However i got taken out again as someone assumed i wasnt there and tried to go through me into the second corner. Then got a bit distracted as i was pootling around and ended up spinning just as the leader came by, i think Esc'd out quick enough!

I take it, one more MX5 race?

Yup - Sebring next week.  Both are on the International circuit, but race 2 is in the dark ... as if the reversed grid isn't hazardous enough Cheesy

Yeah ... it was a bit busy early on Cheesy
