Practice: 19:45 BST (30 mins) Qual 2: 20:15 (15 mins) Race: 20:30 ~ 30 Mins Cars allowed: DTM 92 Track: Sonoma Long Time of Day Setting: 13:00 Weather: DryStart: Standing Tyre wear: NormalFuel consumption: OFFPit-stops: None requiredServer: Simracing.org.uk E3H Password: see aboveChampionship StandingsNotes:(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage. (2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules especially the rules about in-game chat messages. (3) You will need to install Race Room Racing Experience from Steam, and have the Euro and American Track Packs for this series (And maybe another non pack track occasionally) (4) Please exercise caution when pitting as some tracks have a speed limit. (5) Please follow the SROUK guidelines for using kerbs etc. Please keep 2 wheels on the track surface (kerbs do not count as track surface) Excessive cutting of corners will seen as cheating and the results may be altered to reflect this.

I am waiting for the other two GTO cars to be released before I add any more events This series will not end with the current scheduled events... Any ideas when they will be released? I am assuming sometime soon.

I am assuming sometime soon. Well sometime soon could be anytime between now and eventually. My guess is at least a month and probably longer. There should be another big update before we see the GTO cars and we'll know the release time will be closer if they appear in our gamedata files at that time.

There's a good chance we'll get a nice grid on Thursday. I signed up for the The Race Connect event scheduled for today, but it was cancelled as you can see from this message:
"Hi Stig, Bill AJ & Jukka,
Re: RRE Grp 5 & TC's @ Brands Hatch
Sorry guys, but with myself and 4 others registered for this event, it's just not worth running.
I'll be posting a news item about SROUK, who run some great RRE events on Thursday nights shortly. I think we'd be better off joining them for our RRE action, rather than have grids of 4 or 5 here.
Sorry about this.
All the Best - Ross"

That's a shame, turned out I was able to race tonight but hadn't signed up as I was unsure if I could make it. Not sure why Raceroom doesn't get more love Despite its shortcomings (which are being worked on) I believe it provides the best sim racing experience at present and will only get better. Hope some of the fellas join us here for these historic events as they don't have racing at RC on Thursdays.

I have PCars and it looks good, not spent any time with it. The reason I went for R3E is because it had the best selection of historic ish, cars, so I would have enough classes to run more than one series.
Some of the PCars cars are very good, but there doesn't seem to be a tangible grouping of similar cars into classes as there is in R3E. I also read a lot about buggy networking amongst other things. R3E has some bugs and things missing, but for me at least it mostly works well, and the racing is excellent, which is what I care about mostly.

hello,
i do not know if this is important for results,
i have changed my STEAM nickname from puhbear788 to Reinhard Berger.
someone did say, this is not important for steam games, but i am not sure, as i understand this with results not good.

The only thing our results care about is that we can relate your in game name to your SROUK forum name As the results are done with your SROUK forum name. So if you drive as "Reinhard Berger, then we (I) may need to make sure that "Reinhard Berger" = "Berger R-74" in our user database. It's not a problem as long as I know who you really are. It used to be more of an issue, but the latest R3E results outputs are less error prone these days. It is challenging for me when someone races in a R3E event, and I don't know who he is...... I moaned about SRW and APEXTECHUSA because I didn't know their real names until they told me

I'm a great fan of the DTM Mercer from 92, but I had to try the Mustang GT just the same. It's even more fun to drive than the Mercer, it sounds absolutely fantastic and it turned out to be the faster choice for me! Actually I'm seriously considering deserting the car of my famous fellow countryman DTM legend Kurt Thiim. It's great that these cars are well balanced in order to produce close racing against each other. In real life however this car was a looser. The 3 Mustang GT's who participated in the DTM 92' season only managed to score a total of 1 point Stig

I'm going to struggle (even more than usual) tomorrow - got a shiny new G29 + H-shifter and adjusting from 2 pedals & paddle shifters is proving rather difficult. The force feedback with this wheel is also a bit duff, which isn't helping. Weird because in Project Cars it's nothing short of sensational

Yes, it's a real shame, but the numbers just weren't there at RC. I could have given it more time I guess, but with you guys running it too, it might be better to pool the effort (That said, Thursdays is always tricky for me) What I'd like to do is add the RRE events to the RaceConnect Thursday calendar, so that our members can at least see what's happening here, and maybe join in. I know I'd far rather be in 1 race with a decent sized grid. I'll try to get some kind of 'promo art' done for the Thursday events here and stick it on our calendar. I see this championship appears to complete at the end of Feb. What are the plans for March onwards, any ideas? Don't want to do promo poster for DTM, and find it's Grp5's in a few weeks.

Matt varies the car pack each week. Currently he is concentrating on the Touring Classics, DRTM '92, Procar and Gr.5 car packs.
