The Aston was the hardest to drive as it simply did not appear to have the same brakes as the other two?, but it did have better grunt and top speed in my setup.
That's always the case with the Aston - it just doesn't stop! I suspect its brake power is just not enough to lock the tyres sufficiently at higher speeds.
The track was great indeed! One of the best made tracks I've seen in GTL, so smooth and easy to the eye. Would be great to drive more on it in the future.
I had no time to practice, except for about 20 minutes with the Jaguar before Q. I was using my Zandvoort setups more or less, as they had slightly less understeer than my previous ones and on this layout understeer was a big problem going into those long corners.
I was surprised to be competitive in all 3 cars straight out of the box, even winning a race in the Ferrari, but Dimitar was just much better under acceleration and more consistent too. It was only due to his mistake in race 1 that I managed to snatch victory. In races 2 and 3 I just messed up big time - getting stuck between the fence and the dirt banking with the Aston, and then spinning twice right into those solid cones at pit entry, which damaged the Jaguar big time, making it very difficult to keep going straight. In addition to that, I hit Robby on the exit off the final chicane as the speed differential was too much and he was basically cruising in the middle of the track.
Congrats to Dimitar for the wins and thanks for the fun battles again! Grats to Erling and Clive for their podiums, and the rest for taking part and making it to the finish.
It's gonna be difficult to win all 3 races at Silverstone to win the title, but I'll try my best!
