I have been thinking this many times, but always time has been bit limiting factor. I love the car and originally it was developed for one purpose only: make real world based car that would fit to my driving and to the F1 Venue Championship 2012. The early history of the GTL KAD Mini is quite straight forward: F1 Venue championship was ran with faster cars in 2012 and I could not find car which I could join, so I decided to build my own. I asked from organizer about it and they were like "it is fine as long as it fits to the pack and it is finished on time". At first I took few years old KAD works engine profile and slammed it to the Mini Marcos. The result was wayyy over powered monster by huge margin. There was excessive wheel spin all the other gears except the fifth gear. On straight line it really flew, but in corners the excessive wheel spin made it a beast to control. So I needed to find something heavier to get the power to the ground. I took Mini Miglia arched Mini (As the clubman body style was not finished in Brickyard Legends Team.), Works engine torque curve and standard short ratio Mini gearbox. This was much better, but needed still some adjustments. I found 9" wide 10" racing slicks from Avon catalog and put the parameters to the tyre files. I used the Avons from original BDA escort as a template and adjusted the diameter and width and of course the grip. Front brakes got upgraded to newer and rear brakes got the 7" front discs from standard Cooper. After this, I calculated the minimum weight I could get the car in to the championship and ran few test laps. I knew right away that this car was something I could easily think driving 8 months. To my surprise, Geoffers and Zsoca joined me to drive it. As there was quite few car pack updates coming regular basis to include skins, I decided to continue development of the car whenever I found new real world data to fit in. I did find newer KAD Works torque curve, better brakes (biggest you can fit in 10" rims) and at least two different evolutions of 5 speed gearboxes. When the season ended, while there was no single victory for KAD, it had become so strong opposition that for 2013 season at least 2 drivers stated that KAD Mini has to go as it has become too fast. I did enjoy developing the car during the season and I have been thinking joining to some championship to do it again with some other car... However development of this championship took so long that it's yet to be happening.

I don't care about Brno as it's my worse track by far. I still remember I was once 9 (nine!) seconds a lap slower on it than Guiseppe Melis. And that was in a 911 which isn't my best car but certainly not my worst either. If a Super Alien isn't a reference I was also 3-4 seonds a lap slower than the second last guy. So eff Brno I must admit though that this makes my nose wrinkle: Nurburgring being Division 2Can I has the Beemer please? Slow(er) cars are real boring on both the Schleife and the Targa for that matter. Mind that this opinion is only that, one (1) opinion and that there's also a good chance I won't even make it because at the moment I can't manage two hours non-stop racing.

If Nords is ran with Division 3, then there's going to be 2 hours of 1965 Spa with Division 2. Talk about boring race. We'll Deal with the other endurances later, but it seems to be settled that Brno will be Division 1 Race. I'll post the race invitation.

It's really hard to make compromises in which all would be happy... ...Nevertheless I think I am rather close with the following proposal of modifications: - Brno 2 hours is Division 1 race
- Spa 2 hours will be Division 3 race
- Nurburgring 500kms is Division 2 and 3 race, but Division 2 scores own points and Division 3 scores own points. So from the points perspective, only two classes.
- One Division 2 race added to September to balance all the divisions to equal 8 races.
As the Nurburgring 500kms is so long race, It's nature of racing will be quite different. However limiting races so that there's only 2 winners is a good idea, so this seems to be pretty good compromise. Hard to say, how big is the gap between 1300cc and 1600cc cars in Nords, but in development testing they had less than second difference between them in zolder. Their fuel ranges match, but 1600cc cars have 10 liters bigger tanks so they do need longer stops. under 2000cc and over 2000cc cars are even bigger mystery, but the fuel consumption, fuel ranges and tank sizes compare same way as the classes in Division 2 do, so while over 2000cc cars are faster, they do need longer stops as well.

Points tables updated after Brno 2 Hours. EDIT: There was a small mistake in Budapest Race 1 scoring where Tony W did not get extra 3 points while he was first time running in 1000cc class. I fixed that now as well.

As there has been some small glitches found from the cars and for some cars had been hoped for small updates, I will be doing small car pack update before Silverstone. Following things will be added / fixed: 850cc: - Suzuki will gain 3 new final gears and one individual gear ratio. 1000cc: - No changes. 1300cc: - Alfa GTA Junior wheel inertias fixed. (small error in wheel inertia values, which might have caused unpredictable handling when driven on limit.) 1600cc: - Isuzu gets (at last) working rev limit light in cockpit view! 2000cc: - Alfa GTAm wheel inertias fixed. (small error in wheel inertia values, which might have caused unpredictable handling when driven on limit.) over 2000cc: - Ford Capri 2300GT gains 2 new final gears and 2 new individual gear ratios. If you find something in setup options in certain car, you can hope here for a change. I will look in to it and if it fits to the car, I will add it as well.

For the Silverstone and rest of the season car pack got updated with the mods announced few posts up. The car pack update contains only the modified files, so it is really small: just 189 KB. To install it, just extract and/or copy the gamedata folder from the zip to you gtl folder and overwrite existing files. Also notice that Suzuki and Capri got new individual gear settings, so if you had setups saved for one of these or both, loading the old setup with new gearbox will make the gear selections to be selected wrong, so you need to fix them manually.
