Password: see above (#post_event_password)

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read
Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car
If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable.

Special Notes: None.

Messed up both races. race one got wobbly at the start, and then lost it over the top of the banking avoiding someone
Race two lost it on the run down to T1 lap one slowing to not thump the car in front as it slowed in a group  :o
almost went off into the forest, but got back on track then lost it without any help touching the grass before the bricks
Good fun trying to catch Bob and Roger though  ;D

Server moved on to Andersdorp North  :o ummm. so I reset it back to Avus and called a shorter prac and qual.

For race 2 I managed to practice some starts in qualifying, so I made a better getaway, but still dropped behind Geoffers and Dan, who had shorter gears and easily pulled away out of the hairpin. After Dan took the lead, we began fighting it out each lap, exchanging positions, and I think we both realized that whoever was in 2nd place after the hairpin would always cross the finish line first. That made the final laps a tactical exercise, but after Dan had a bad run through the hairpin on the penultimate lap, and because my setup seemed to be better through the banked corner, I managed to pull away just enough to keep the lead on the last lap and get the win. It was enjoyable!

I made two great qualys and 2 terible starts.

In the first start i was going ok, think in 5th place, and then i overpowerd the oval, the car got on top of the tyres bariere and after that returnet o the track. Fortunately no one hit me but my car has stoled on he gras and i had to retire.

The second race i had to start from the pole but i didnt practised starts, so after 200 meters i was in 8th position  ;D That didnt mean i was over racing. The problem was the guys infront of me was slipsteaming each other and it was practicaly imposible to reach them. Fortunately for me some of them made a mistakes at the hairpin so i was able to move to 5th and finish there.

Congrats to Hristo and Coyote for the wins and everyone who entered that great event. Hope to see you all soon.

I managed to mess up both races. The first by avoiding a victim of the infamous Pop-Up Brick on the Avus banking and the second very embarassingly by simply completely phasing out and thusly going into the hairpin at full throttle. Luckily no drivers who were actually awake were around to involuntarily participate in my slumber party. Nevertheless, qualification went fine -especially with the magic setup tip- and the gear is fine so all I need is more mileage.
Congratulations to winners & podium occupiers.

Come on now, enquiring minds need to know  ;D what was the magic setup trick?
