Got a great view of the poor drivers who were messed up at the start. I've no idea why it happened there as i can't recreate it offline
.
Went on to really enjoy what turned into an extremely eventful race. Started 5th, got up to 3rd briefly... but waited for Icarus to rejoin the track after we'd traded some paint. Don't think either one of us did anything wrong, but he came off pretty badly figured waiting was the right thing to do. We got going again in about 12th & was soon back up to 9th & chasing Paul who was chasing someone who was chasing someone.... & unfortunately a back-marker had spun through the downhill section. Paul couldn't avoid him, but while Lazlow & me did, we got hit from the rear & that sent me back to 22nd spot. Worked my way back up to 9th again & got past Lele on the home straight, but he just clipped my rear end as we started up the hill. He seemed to hold but then his car lunged into the wall on the right. Again, I figured I'd done nothing wrong but decided to wait at the top of the hill for my unfortunate opponent (we're all friends here
). Sadly his race was over as he escaped back to the pits & I got going again in 17th this time.
Well, I managed to finish in 14th spot in the end while my pace was probably good enough for a top five I guess. But i did enjoy the fun of coming through the pack a couple of times. A very tricky track that paired with some very
nasty tricky cars, so well done to the Gymer twins on such successful P&G clubmans debuts & everyone that finished. Finally thanks to everyone's cooperation for letting MJ get the fastest lap & winning on his B'day. You can all drive full pace again next time
Onto tokens at Daytona next (all will be revealed)
Just a quick one Legz/ WT - had commitments last night or would have been there with bells on. No reflection on your car/ track choice - I know how you're sensitive about these things
You were certainly missed on TS mate, exactly who's driving were we supposed to laugh at?
