I think there was some timing problems tonight, there must have been, surely.
It can't be right, Jim beat TM tonight, his "kick arse" comment actually came true. I refuse to believe it...

Kicked your sorry arse too Eck Fckin awesome race that, proper wheel to wheel stuff and I now have an aching arm. Brilliant driving guys, that was an absolute cracker. It's a decent track with the cut penalties turned off - don't think I saw anyone taking the piss. Hard to pass though

OK guys what's the deal with these cars then? I seem to break every gear box on these Gr5 cars and i took extra care this time with my up- and downshifts. Or did i got a French gearbox? I have a DFGT, so no clutch pedal. Do i need to activate the Auto Clutch option then??
My apologies to Mark E. He was still stationary when the lights went green and i believe i just clipped his bumper.

That's odd. I have a clutch pedal and H-pattern shifter. I drove the Corvette and only used the clutch to get off the line. I blip on the down shifts and lift off on the up shifts, and the 'box didn't have any damage at all by the end of the race.
Perhaps you need to use auto-clutch if you're not using an h-pattern shifter

DFGT user here and yes you definitely need to enable auto clutch on all these cars in the historic series. As for Sundays, modern GTs don't need auto clutch but the Daytona Proto does need it....that could possibly change in the next update. IIRC the Aquila also needs auto clutch but I'll check when I get time.

Difficult race last night, I really struggle to get the power down with any sort of steering lock on or over brows. Seems last night track was nothing but these! Can't believe how quick you guys all are Anyway when are these muppets going to fix some of the glaring bugs in this beta software? Again last night the countdown timer expired before I could complete my last lap. What happens if I was actually in a race with some one? And because chat only works in car then on that last lap I get inundated with chat messages, which are banned under our rules until everyone has finished. Shame AC hasn't got the support at the organisational level, IMHO it's far the better of the 2 games.

The no-chat-before-everyone-finishes rule is a bit incompatible with R3E, because as soon as the race finishes for everyone the chat thing is disabled. It's a bit crap really

Blazing fast laptimes up front, very impressive.
I was lapped by a couple of racers, but for once I had a few racers, who's were close to my own pace. That makes things a bit more fun :-))

The finish countdown is not a "bug" it is part of the event settings, and is adjustable up to 120 secs when I did that once half the field left before the countdown and the results needed a lot of messing around with. The file was so wrong I had to edit the .xml to get any sense from it, and then adjust the reults in LM2ias well. The results file is less buggy and there's more in it these days, and Dave's entry system works well.
I have said this before, the countdown thing is not exclusively a R3E thing, GTR2 etc could suffer from similar issues if people left before everyone had finished, though this fixed finish time is to me a pain in the ariolis, and should be got rid of.
If I set the race finish to 120 secs, everyone needs to agree on pain of death, that they will not disconnect in a huff because they had a tough race, and will stay till it says the race is finished? Leaving very early on because of damage or discos also screws the results, but most of the time the correct order can be deduced from the results number of laps completed, so is quite easy to fix afterwards.
