If nobody chooses 917/ all 917 crash out early, how long the races might turn out to be? I have no idea about the relative paces, so I don't know if we're talking about a 2 minute/1 lap difference od 10 minutes/5 laps. Could be a big difference for fuel strategy.

Race lengths will be quoted in laps so the choice of the 917 won't have any effect on how much you are fuelling for as you know the race distance. If you want to gamble on someone taking the 917 and removing 5 laps from the race that's entirely up to you

Hi Paul - welcome on board There is one thing - can you please either send me your Steam ID or jump on the current Wednesday night practice server (The Skodas at Feldbergring)? This is because I need your ID in order to link it to your account here for when I import race results

Been trying out these cars again as it's been a while since I've raced any of them For the benefit of those who might struggle a bit with them (not me of course ) might it be worth posting up some nice and safe base setups?

Ehhm, yeah I did a few laps in these cars and I have to say I am struggeling to like the P330 actually. Good to share some pointers on car setups, that way the racing might be a little more enjoyable instead of only fighting the car.

I have rough setups for all of them at Brands, but as it's me I'm not sure if they're what you would normally call safe or neutral. We've raced all bar the 917 a few times in the past, check your setup folders for Spa, VIR and Kyalami 67 and you may find some setups got already had.
Otherwise my advice is to keep some rear wing on and if the car is still too tailey you can do stuff like lower the rear Vs the front or even just use the next gear up

I can probably share a few setups, as Tim said IDK how much it helps as I like quite a loose/pointy car BUT maybe I can modify it to be a bit more neutral and post those for people to try.
I know from past experience that mine and Tims setups are usually very different (which is crazy when we are often closely matched for speed) so I cant promise it'll help anyone...

Here are the (currently rough) setups I have for Brands. I seem to remember that the Porsche requires very specific gears for max speed but can't remember what and where! The GT40 seems fastest when run on a longer diff ratio and only using 4 gears, the Ferrari is a Ferrari and should be very fast here with the setup tuned a bit. 917 is just an animal https://www.dropbox.com/s/6vcpiec7a33z7y3/GT%20Brands%20setups.rar?dl=0I have also figured out what I will race and where today - and promptly left the post it note at work.. I'll update the list on page 1 with what I'm up to tomorrow therefore to keep with the transparency requirements.

I wouldn't worry at the minute - It looks unlikely to be used as Le Mans currently has a strong lead in the polls!
