Well that was a complete disaster. Did 15 mins of practice, with the setup Jester pointed me to, before I could join the server. Within 3 laps I got down to a 1:39 dead, and could lap consistently there after in the 1:39 bracket. Get on the server and it's like an alien world. Everything looks the same but nothing works the same. Brakes kept locking up, car over steered every time I blinked and then kept bottoming out and throwing me off.
To cap it off the game crashed again when I joined the grid, sadly the new feature of having a 4 or 5 minute countdown allowed me time to restart the game. Hateful, hateful stupid game.

Well I can see how we ended up with the 5 min wait time, sorry. However I see the new manager won't allow a booking time of more than 30 mins

Replay for who's interested in watching something boring LOL. I quite enjoy the car, but it's VERY difficult and the default setup is really bad (in terms of making the car really quite "lively"). It reminds me of the Star Mazda from iRacing in that it's all about downforce without providing the mechanical grip you get in something like the Dallara Indycar or GP2 (which has more power but are both imho easier to drive due to the increase in mechanical/tyre grip). At the end of the race my car was banged up quite bad (from me spinning off and hitting things) and was lapping 4-5 seconds slower. Still it wasn't as bad as others as I still finished over a lap ahead LOL. Wish I'd seen that setup, I was using the default with gearing changes, MUCH more wing and brake balance further back. I think if we ever use that car we'll need someone to develop a safe setup for people to drive otherwise we wont have anyone finishing and no-one will enjoy it.

As soon as i fired up the PC i seem to be getting connection dropouts which ruined the evening.
I actually felt like it was more grippy on the server! i was struggling through the quick 's' before the chicane, to get back on the power offline. I just tweaked the default, soften it a bit and made it far more driveable. Though getting a clean lap was difficult sometimes!

Here a new setup made by a very fast guy Niki Đaković. Haven't tested it, but I post it for anyone who likes to try it and maybe create a save setup out of it.

Here a setup that I made from Niki's and feels good to me. Take care at turn 6 where there's a bump in the road (more to the inside), that throws you into a spin.

Thanks, I was going to play over the weekend and see if editing the CFG file manually would still work. Also the new system has open / closed for joining during the sessions. I'm not sure what that really means, does this mean booking can become irrelevant?

I think after setting the server the cfg file can be adjusted manually. The open, close, close at start are only for the race. This means: open= free to join through the whole race; close= can't join from the moment quali ends; close at start= joining still possible until the race starts (can join during race wait time) This as far as I know.

Changing booking time is possible in the cgf file. Just did a test and I set the booking on 75, without a problem. The is_open is the Can Join check-box under Practice and Qualify in the acServerManager, it doesn't work though. I tried it and it shows in the cfg file that is_open=0 (should be can't join), but when I start the server the server shows is_open=1 and I can join the server. The Join Type: open/close/close at start, that does show in the cfg file and server window (not done an actual test in the server)
