Where does it stand, i've just reinstalled GTR and have everything turned up, its playable by my standards, but im gonna turn some things down to make it smoother (even like that, im gonna have to miss all races at Brno, as it runs really badly on my system), how does GTL stack up in this respect, does it run well on older hardware like mine?

System Specs:
AMD Athlon XP2000
ATi Radeon 9200SE 128Mb
768Mb RAM

I think you're gonna struggle with that set-up  Sad

The demo was pretty resource hungry, definately much more so than GTR.

From the boards over at RSC, people are reporting that they're having to turn down quite a lot of the graphics for a decent frame-rate and many of them have a higher spec machine than yours...

Pops.

I just upgraded my Graphics card from a simular spec to yourself Kidzer. I had a ATI 8500 and Brno and Enna are the two heaviest tracks (on older graphics cards anyhoo).
I found that turning down graphics options to Low in GTR does not help much and in some cases can make it worse - I've seen this on various forums too.

Try leaving the game settings at medium to high but go to your generic DirectX 3d settings for your card and move the slider towards performance and away from quality.
For me this made a huge difference but has the disadvantage of affecting alll your DirectX games.

picked up a 9800pro on ebay 100 euro - still get framerate issues though from time to time.
At least I'm able to run at1280x1024 now.

Think you're going to need a faster CPU and graphics card than that.

There are some specific heavy resource usage graphics settings in GTL though that you could turn off to improve things but even so it's going to struggle a bit.

I would love to get a faster CPU and GFx card, trust me. But school and a less that part time job means I can't really afford anything! Smiley
