And where can I find it?

Thanks frex for reminding me of the password.
With the rush, I got everything wrong in the setup and got a totally uncontrollable car... Better leaving the server before creating a mess.
Enjoy! I'll get earlier for the next race.

No idea why yet, but the password link seems to have been broken for a while I will engage the thought police with it.

note self dont take the hard tire again!! i thought it would be a good move but how wrong I was it was like driving on ice!! my lap time went up to 1:16 5 seconds slower! cant be right at a track like that surely so a quick pit stop soft tires on and it was all good again apart from being a lap down!
good race well done frex Geoff & Glen

Congrats to Frex and Geoff. fastest on track.
Had surprisingly a good start (hopefully now also in the FRX90). Passed the first Esess with a lot of speed and could overtake Martin and Pete. In T5 didn't payed attention due to the fight, for my braking point. Just turned away of Toni and avoided all drivers. Due to i used the runoff area i could brake in a straight line and rejoin the track quitte good with only 3/5 seconds lost.
afterwards had for the first part consistent lap times (only 0.5sec slower than Toni,Pete,Martin). after 15 laps lost another 0.8sec. was sursprised i never made a mistake after the first lap.

There's a tyre choice? Mine were all yellow bar the rear right for the last couple pf laps Great race, best I've had a for some time. Some great battles with Toni and Spanner taking turns to get wobbly. Was a good 3 way, until Mark wasn't there any more.

I accidently tried the hard tyres in practice and was 4 secs off my soft tyre pace. Ran softs in the race and the front left was yellow by about half way and angry red at the end. Not sure if the rear right went yellow but the other 2 tyres were well before the race finished.
4WD got the Audi off the line quickly and, to my surprise, I hung on to the tail of Glen for the first 3/4 of the race. Frex and Geoff just slowly leaving the two of us behind. In the end a couple of small errors lost me the tow and I slowly fell back towards the end. Well done everyone and to Frex, Geoff and Glen in particular.
Crocheting next week so see you back in the Scirocco in 2 weeks time.

Thoroughly enjoyed last night's race, well done Frex and Geoff who were a class above The Opel was a real handful and I struggled with the rear axle locking and hopping in practice. Upping the differential preload and power settings cured this but seemed to hurt the car's turning ability. As a result I had to run the rear very loose, I managed to hold on for a good qualifying lap late on but had no confidence I'd get through the entire race without a spin or trip to the barriers. After Frex and Geoff cleared off in the race Pete kept the pressure on. He was quicker than me for a while but couldn't get an overlap in the right places. As the race went on and I got better through turn 2, 3, 4 and onto the straight and Pete's Audi started to work its front tyres harder I became less vulnerable. I also benefitted late on passing Bill between turn 2 and 3 whereas Pete got caught where turn 3 gets tight gifting me the gap. Satisfying race overall, one of my better drives. The Opel seemed a little slow in the corners and on the brakes but didn't seem to have the straight line advantage I thought it had, it was also hair raising arriving sideways into turn 5 most laps and I did have a 5th gear drift through turn 4 on one lap.

Yes I also wanted to take the Opel as it's a real challenge to try and get the best out of it, and I've tried it once or twice before without success. Again though I just could not properly figure it out - there's a very fast car locked away in there somewhere for sure, but I knew that I would not be able to go a full race in it without high chance of a spin or two. Plus it sounds a bit rubbish (to me) and there's only one very uninspiring (to me) livery - these are important considerations! So back on the shelf it went, and I skulked over to the BMW instead..
The M3 by contrast I have found to have no major vices, and keeps a good pace even with tyre wear. Geoff's very quick qually time certainly got my attention, and with the way the Audi blasts away at the start I knew he'd be leading at T1. It took a few laps to get onto Geoff's tail, but then managed to get by under braking and slowly pull away. I guess that consistency really pays off against the other cars. Only concern was the fuel consumption, and I finished the race with just 0.5 Litres left. I hope we will not go to any tracks that are likely to have a higher rate of fuel use.
Congrats Glenn and Geoff.

I can't say what the fuel use will be at other tracks, but I am aware of it, and if there's any doubt. I will shorten the race

Good race with Frex for a few laps but ultimately he was that little bit faster & once he got ahead I could not keep up, especially near the end when the tyres were screaming for mercy. I thought the power of the Audi may have been embarrassingly quick against the other cars, & although it initially gets off the corners better, it does not maintain that advantage up to top speed. Like others I was worried that the soft tyres would not last so tried the hard ones & I too found them to be around 3s a lap slower (1.15s in the Audi), so really had no option but to use the softs & hope. To be fair they held up better than I thought they might & it was only in the last 3-4 laps that I began to notice any real loss of grip. Congrats to Frex on the win & to Glenn in 3rd.

I'm glad to read that the H tyres had such an impact on lap times. I entered the server at half the qualy session and, with default setup and softs was doing slow times but within reach of the pack... One of the many changes that I did before the race included the change to H's as I thought S wouldn't last the 25 laps... And T1 was like ice-skating... I'll factor this for next race...
All the best, Jos

The Beemer is a much nicer to drive than I remember it last time we ran these cars. I set new PBs in qualifying and in the race. Only lapse was finding myself on the wrong side of the track in the wrong gear breaking too late and hitting the retaining wall creasing my bonnet! Luckily the cars performance was not affected much so I was able to finish the race.

The cars are nothing like they used to be, the physics has definately taken a step up, one which seems to be too high for me. Took a long time to tame the Merc and realise i needed to brake earlier and stop losing the rear on corner exit.
But the tyre model is just too sensitive sometimes, found it difficult the further into the race to correct the slides, when it goes it goes.
Hoped i could keep with Picnic in the Audi after the rocketship start but drifted back and started making a few mistakes, dropped further back and after another spin i gave up.
Really struggling with Raceroom atm.
