Title: UKGPL Season 38 (Spring 2021) 1967 F1 Sprint (Works) - Albi - May 2 Post by: Rainier on April 27, 2021, 01:17:03 PM +0100 Season 38 – 1967 F1 WORKS – Round 7 – ALBI
The seventh race in the 1967 Grand Prix series finds us in South West of France. Racing first started on the Circuit des Planques in 1933, the pits and startline being on a short straight before the road twisted down into St.Antoine. At St.Juery the cars had to contend with an extreme hairpin bend, followed by a railway level crossing. The 5.531 mile circuit was shortened in 1951 to 1.859 miles, before being closed in 1955 following the Le Mans disaster. Racing resumed at the nearby Aerodrome in 1959 which is the circuit we now know as Albi. The Chicane du Sequestre was introduced in 1988. Albi has never hosted a championship F1 race, but it held a Formula Two race in 1967 and we will be using the layout used then. Jackie Stewart won that race in his Matra. He was followed home by Jochen Rindt in a Brabham and Jim Clark, who had spun his Lotus near the Dunlop bridge.

My latency didn't seem unusual but the quality was .750 :( . I checked the other servers and they returned the usual .99* Quality. One day I would like to see Cognac to find out how much trouble there would be in the corner bales of hay !!!! But before there is a sequence of curves in 90 degrees very interesting. Albi would be from Tristan, he would not allow anyone to challenge him on Occitanies lands. During the race, Tristan gradually opened up an advantage and behind me the same thing was happening, I did a solitary race. I hope that later the people had more fun. I'm sorry for what happened to Greg Taber, disconnections are luck and bad luck that often doesn't do it justice, you always need to be lucky to fall with many or pure bad luck if you fall alone. |
