I tried some LMP something or other way back when they were first mentioned as being a possible car for a future series and didn't get on well with them. So what recommendations does anyone want to offer that might help me out? Which car isn't impossible to drive? Where can one get setups that will help? Being of below average skill I can't drive alien setups but previous experience told me I didn't like the default ones. I need help

I can only drive Lola, that seems the easiest car for me.

If you can tell me what the biggest problem(s) are with a car, I'll tell you what to click to make the car better for you. The sort of thing I'd need to know is: 1, Car oversteers at corner entry (as I stop braking) but doesn't turn enough when trying to get the power down on corner exit. Or 2, In the middle of a corner when the power is neither on or off, I'd like the car to stop drifting wide so much. Or 3, I keep spinning the car when I'm exiting hairpins & low speed corners. Or other such examples. I just need to know what the car is doing wrong & when it's doing it. There are always at least a couple of options to fix/improve anything (except Porka's ) I'd be very happy to try to help.

My opinions of them has changed since i remembered when we first drove them. The Radical used to be nice and easy to drive and quick but having tried it recently realised it was a nightmare. Porsche was nice but just felt a bit stunted top end wise. Lola is tricky but easier for me.

It took me a few races to be comfortable with these cars but once hooked up I find them great fun. The major problem I had was being too heavy on the throttle exiting corners. I also think you need to be a bit conservative in pushing to the limit if you want to finish the race. I've found the Porsche is my preference. The default setups seem ok to use for my limited skills. I only change the gearing to fit the track.

Oh dear looks like there is no simple answer and I'll have to find time to practice and try out each car again Thanks for the comments so far.

Off topic..... But - my real car Front engine Rear drive spins on entry and on exit particularly on tight corners I have so far fitted a stiffer front ARB, and now have made the front springs harder and the rears softer Can't do much with the shocks as I have to use standard parts. Part of it is my driving where I am used to front wheel drive and expect lift off oversteer, so go into corners too fast.

I've done a fresh install of GTR2 to get rid of some stuttering and it seems to have worked. I reinstalled UKGTR car v2.16 and then the LMP2 skins but the cars aren't showing up in the selection screen. In the readme for the LMP2 cars it says v2.15 is required but 2.16 has the cars included so i'm a bit stumped?
Oh, and its on the GTWeb installation as well but I don't see how that would be an issue?

make sure you scroll through all the classes. I'm not sure they appear in the UKGTR page as a 'class' but as a class in there own right. I'll look next time i fire it up! I dont do offline practise so dont know!

That could be it, although I do not have the GTWeb mod installed at the moment to check it out. It would be advisable to keep GT Web stuff on a separate install of GTR2 due to the heavy customization that they do. Other than that I am not sure what could be the cause.
