Absolutely undrivable, this is the word. I was having around 20 fps during the whole lap, with a maximum of 30 and having under 15 in some corners.

That's not undriveable. That's more than the frame rate I get. Shocked
It's still enough for normal daylight racing, but on the dark it's just impossible to keep the car under control cause apart from that you struggle to see much Sad

A real shame because with 2nd in qualifying it looked promising. But after starting the race itself, I just couldn't drive comfortably so tried not to get in anybody's way. All corrections and mistakes were due to that cause I was driving as smoothly as I could, but yet another very low fps moment put me offtrack and crashed into a right hand wall. Front end damaged, preferred to retire rather than ruining someone else's race.

I will quite possibly be in this one, but not sure if I'm gonna last too long. First because is such a long race and I end up very tired lol but also because I struggle quite hard with fps at night (even if I have ALL settings including res at the minimum) so dunno Smiley
529  UKGTR / UKGTR Races / Re: UKGTR Season 7 Super Endurance - Estoril (GP) - May 17 on: May 16, 2008, 03:51:22 PM +0100
My GUESS is that if you request the pit stop yourself it defaults to the last values you used in a stop and if you wait for them to tell you to come into the pits instead then it will give you what you have in your strategy. This is just a guess, as I always request stops myself and adjust whatever I need to at the time.

Thanks for the info mate:). I was thinking that i had a problem, good job you told me before i reinstalled for no reason Roll Eyes
I think this is wrong. For what I have seen in many races where I've made two pit stops, it doesn't matter the fuel amount you select for the second stop. In ALL the pitstops you make during the race (unless you change it in the board when you get to your pitstop spot) you will be added the same amount, which will be the one you select for the first pitstop Wink I guess it's a mistake from the game.

531  UKGTR / UKGTR Races / Re: UKGTR Season 7 GTC Sprint - Donington Park (National) - May 13 on: May 13, 2008, 10:15:36 PM +0100
I qualified quite well for my Gillet in 6th, an incident in the warm up (I've been told I was lagging, that's new for me  Embarrassed) put me down to 8th. After the start I was so close to Backo ahead of me but I couldn't get past because of the top speed difference. But my race ended when I put a wheel on the grass while braking for the old hairpin and spun off, almost stuck in the gravel and rejoined dead last.

After that I kept pushing for the whole race and gained many places, including a couple of great battles with Porsches, good stuff.

Congrats to the winners and thanks to the organization. Looking forward to next season Cheesy

I noticed a couple of new drivers are attending, dont they have to wait until reserves time to join? Im sure the regular champ contenders would be a bit miffed if they couldnt get in the server.

I wouldnt want or expect anyone to compromise their own race but i hope people will be aware of the big fight going on this evening as Donington can get a little crowded on track  angel
Don't worry we're aware of it Smiley

Although I would be very frustrated if I couldn't race after having practiced quite a bit lol

I'm so much looking forward to this one, laptimes are looking very close in practice with different cars so the race should be exciting Cheesy
534  UKGTR / UKGTR Races / Re: UKGTR Season 7 Lower Endurance (GT2/3) - Donington Park (GP) - May 11 on: May 12, 2008, 11:22:43 AM +0100
Special Awards
Backo - Most stop and gos in a race.

I'd like to know how many stop&go did he have for this record, as I am surprised I didn't beat it yesterday! lol here's my race:

Qualified 2nd, really nice for my first race here. In the first lap I was pressuring Ruskus, he braked just a bit early for the chicane and I had to lock up to avoid an incident, Backo got passed me. Then in 3rd we were both going fast and the top3 battle was really nice, but Ruskus kept it so good under control.

Then, given that I'm too used to the "2 wheels must stay on track", but INCLUDING kerbs as the track itself, I did a total of 6 supposed short cuts, which cost me 4 STOP&GO PENALTIES lol Clearly I gotta get used to that because I was all the time taking the racing line I've always taken, I didn't gain a single seconds with any of those 6 short cuts. But owh well...

Then I just tried to keep pushing but with 15 minutes to go I still got another one so I decided to quit. A shame because the battle for the win could've kept going till the end maybe...

Congrats to race and championship winners, I'll be starting next league better I hope  Tongue

Yep no problems with his net, just that he doesn't have it at weekends. I have already joined the server and there's no problems, indeed on Tuesday we'll join earlier Smiley
536  UKGTR / UKGTR Races / Re: UKGTR Season 7 GTC Sprint - Donington Park (National) - May 13 on: May 10, 2008, 08:10:21 PM +0100
I already asked to join this race and I'm so much looking forward to that. Now as I already said, my friend Joao (he'd been racing here but took a long break from GTR2) wants to race as well. He can't post by now cause he doesn't have internet so this is just to ask if he can be racing as well for this one, he has already read the rules and downloaded all needed. He'd pick up a (standard) Porsche GT3-RS, thanks Smiley
537  UKGTR / UKGTR Races / Re: UKGTR Season 7 Lower Endurance (GT2/3) - Donington Park (GP) - May 11 on: May 06, 2008, 12:24:35 AM +0100
lol thanks for the invitation mate, by now I'm just gonna do this last race of the season (same for GTC sprint) and next league we talk about it, although we were talking with Joao and we could make a new team Tongue cya in the race Wink
538  UKGTR / UKGTR Races / Re: UKGTR Season 7 Lower Endurance (GT2/3) - Donington Park (GP) - May 11 on: May 05, 2008, 10:54:14 PM +0100
I have a free Sunday night so I'd like to take part in this one, it'd be with the standard M3. The problem though is for example in last UE race the server was full, so I wouldn't wanna take somebody else's place. Am I allowed to race then, even if I have to join in a later practice than others or something? Tongue
539  UKGTR / UKGTR Announcements / Re: UKGTR Season 7 GTC Sprint Registration on: May 04, 2008, 12:31:11 PM +0100
Ok guys, thanks! Will pick up a standard one then.

So I've downloaded the carpack and read the rules, if there's anything else I gotta do before racing just let me know Cool

BTW my friend João, who'd raced here but has been inactive for a while, will also take part in this race I hope Cheesy
540  UKGTR / UKGTR Announcements / Re: UKGTR Season 7 GTC Sprint Registration on: May 04, 2008, 10:15:29 AM +0100
Hi, I'm new here and would like to take part in the last race of this League 7, so that I can start then the 8th league with at least 1 race experience here Grin Asked Dave and he told me to join for Practice 2 on the event itself so it's ok.

I've already downloaded the carpack. The question is, if I wanna pick up a Gillet, can I choose any of the skins in the pack? Thanks Smiley
