It seems that you enjoy your week-end For next event, don't expect Le Mans Before Sakhir, we talk with the ACO, which rules the 24H of Le Mans, but they didn't allow us to organize such virtual event. That's why we used Sakhir and that's also why we'll try to find another interesting track for next race. wow really? They can veto an online virtual race using Le Mans? Even if they didnt produce the sim or the Virtua LM circuit etc? Thats harsh and un-sporting of them too. What a shame as this kind of event organised 'the' worlds foremost endurance circuit would be simply breathtaking. :'( All the thanks for the great weekend go to your GTW organisation, brilliant job and must involve a lot of hard work on your front. At least we came 2nd to a top team

At least these guys are doing it properly, not your usual permissions? what permissions? lol I'd imagine the "Le mans 24hr" or 24hr of LE mans" is probably a copyright or trade mark by the ACO so might get a bit touchy if you start using their logos. You guys do know there is 24hr race around bahrain I would never have picked Sakir but it actually worked well for multi-class racing.

How about Sebring or maybe Petit Le Mans? Not in the same league as Le Mans, but proper endurance circuits used in the real world for 12 hour races. I still think a GTW 24hr event at Le Mans would be the absolute pinnacle of sim racing.

How about Monaco 24H But I think Spa would be one of the best choices (as I missed RA and Sepang in the past which are brilliant tracks). PS: I look at that 'drool' smiley and can't stop laughing LOL

How about Monaco 24H I would love to try it but, wow! That would be really hard even in GT2/GT3 class. But I think Spa would be one of the best choices
Agreed. Or Portrero or Suzuka as TT said. Sakhir did work well.

Track for next event will remain secret for everybody until the announcement For Le Mans, the copyright is not only on the name. The layout of the circuit belongs to the ACO (I suppose only recent leyout, that's why VLM made the old layout). ACO sell the rights to company like Codemasters or Microsoft so they don't want to let someone to play with their track without payment. Another league few years ago tried to organize such event and the lawyers had come => 800 € of legal costs And for MSN contact, nobody ?

Whats wrong with the forum here Never got what MSN is, text chat? voice? There are a few versions of Le mans available for GTR2 however there is yet to be a difinitive version of it, i guess because no one wants to take the ACO on.

Nice to meet you Arnaud I did ask who you were earlier but I think it was missed. Not surprised about the ACO, I hear (from people who have dealt with them) that they are an awkward bunch. I am more surprised at the way the stewards treat you over the 24hrs weekend, even as a driver! I think Busi's suggestion of Spa is my favourite so far! I would say Silverstone but may get bored over 3 hrs!!

Another league few years ago tried to organize such event and the lawyers had come => 800 € of legal costs Unbelievable! I thought that if you ask for donations and not actually charge people then they cant touch you? It is such a shame that money = justice and justice does not = justice. LeMans people should be paying GTWeb to hold an event on the LeMans track. It would be like promotion for the real life event. All the drivers are obviously fans of LeMans racing and some drivers are even marshals and drivers in real life motor sport including the LeMans event it self. Has anyone ever tried a petition or anything similar? I suppose we cant really expect LeMans legal team to understand why it has to be done on GTR2 and not GT5 and they would never understand or believe about the amount of unpaid work put in by the GTWeb team. The events have been incredible anyway and Road America and Bahrain have been excellent choices. I don't use MSN, sorry.

Suzuka That would get my vote for a future event, can't imagine a better track exists on the planet. Regards Spa , I hope their organisers are a pain in the rear like ACO!

Well done guys! And great result! Once again, I'm sorry about retiring from the race that late. I would have loved to join the race. Maybe next time.
