Bah! I had little practice this weekend and unfortunately I'd never been in the rain here before. My race setup just seemed to fall apart after about 15 laps, could be something to do with those soft fronts Had a few spins and got a bit of damage then had that repaired in the pits, went straight back out and fell off the track. It was at this precise point I lost the will to continue Apart from that was a nice few laps

Wasn't expecting rain tonight, had done a little practice in the dry yesterday but not a lot. Was very pleased to get pole position in NGT with SBG breathing very closely down my neck.
Race started and I slowly pulled away from SBG eeking out probably about 20 seconds come the pit stop. Very calm pit stop and off I went. First lap out and I span out the back (grrrr), probably losing me another 15 seconds. Was very annoyed cause I soon reaslied SBG was not stopping!!!!!! Thought it was going to cost me the win, but I chased for all I was worth and the lighter fuel load in the second half of the race meant I could go quicker. I rapidly closed the gap to SBG from 35 seconds to nothing with 4 minutes to go. His nerves must have been on a tight rope as I kept banging in the laps and taking huge chunks of time out of him. Sure enough with me desperate to not have my win taken by a no stopper after only about a lap of pressure he fell off in front of me (bad luck) and both myself and I think CJ had to take avoiding action (good driving there from CJ) and I cruised on home for the victory.
Must say that was very very hard work, my concentration levels were so high especially second half when I was pushing hard too. Well done to SBG, you really ran it close there.
Very good lapping from everyone in the wet again, cheers guys and well done to CJ for yet another win (despite his mishap on lap 1 which dropped him right back into the mid NGT pack).

That was one of the toughest I have been in! and glad I managed to finish. Great driving by the GT boys, very clean and patient as usual. I didn't have that many scraps with people, but at one point enjoyed watching Bernie in front of me struggling with what must have been badly worn tyres and just waited for my chance to get past;) (were you on hards and a non stopper?) Grats to all the winners and finishers

Congrats to Shark . And mo and naks for a great team effort in the very stiff GT ranks. Out in the late spring sunshine all day I, like everyone else, forgot to look at Oschers forecast. Made for a very good quali as everyone came to grips with the tricky conditions, amazingly good effort by everyone I thought. Thought I'd gamble on non stopper with soft wets (never get the hards hot enough) without a clue about tyre ware but knowing that I had to take it gingerly. I knew I was in trouble as first Dan and then TT caught me and I had to push harder than I wanted to hold them off. Good dices with them both. I was delighted to see both of them off however I guessed that tyres were really going to struggle now. They didn't seem that bad until about 10 minutes to go and then felt like it was more ice than rain. Tried one last push when Shark hunted me down which produced my first trip to the sand 3 laps from the end :'(. If only they had a medium wet I could well have sneaked a crafty win. At least I willn't get lynched now. Roll on next week, and a dry one.

Oh, man, I really thought SBG was gonna pull a move on the Shark! Another defeat 'cause of a non-stopper would really pull his whiskers and he would have to rethink his entire philosophy of the pitstops. Unfortunately SBG got too nervous. Not to blame, SBG, I was nervous even about finishing the race, and to have Shark behind my ass... Anyway, my quali was as bad as ever. Went slow from the begining, following SBG and Popabawa. Popa then got involved with Enza I think and I gave him a light tap from behind. Fortunately he was able to go on. Sorry, Popa, couldn't see $hit in front of you. Popa made a mistake a bit later and I went to follow SBG. Caught him and we must have been glued for 15 laps, bumper to bumper. I could go faster through the bends, but he allways danced away on a straight. That was hard work and I saw my (soft/soft) tyres were going down, I was gonna have to pit, but couldn't go past him. At about half race my rear tyres just suddenly gave in, fortunately I was (almost) able to slide into the pits, so I only lost about 10 seconds. After I pitted and drove a while I saw SBG is ahead and going and realized he's on a non-stop. Also he was in front of Shark and I decided to wait for a mistake of either. They both made one, but were too far ahead to take advantage. I'm third NGT, but as far as I'm concerned, I won. Why? I never ever finished a race in Oschersleben even in dry. Good job to all finishers. More luck next time to those who had to quit.

Really enjoyable race for me once I got over my frustration after some early rookie type mistakes. Had a couple of offs followed by a shunt where I lost my rear wing and then the tricky drive back to the pits where I spun a few more times, I eventually rejoined in 14th with a fulll tank and 55mins to go.
Managed to hold it together and put in some consistant times which meant I clawed my way back up to 4th, which was where I started I think. Its always rewarding to drive in the rain and everyone seemed to keep it on track tonight, rain was a big surprise for me too.
Congrats to CJ and Shark on the class wins, and also to SBG and Nak for the podiums showing a good KC result overall. Thanks for great driving by all the nGTs while being passed.

Well another disaster race for me i seem to be driving like a muppet at the moment! Got a great set-up dialled in quali and was optimistic for the race, chose to go for a non -stopper on soft wets. Had a good dice with SBG for the first 4 laps and could of made a pass a couple of times but didnt want to risk it, then i hit one of the orange markers on the right hander after the back straight and took my rear wheel off :'( . Debated wether to throw my steering wheel out of the window or limp to the pits , decided to limp back as my steering wheel really had nothing to do with the incident . Then for some reason it changed me on to slicks , Didnt realise this so spent the first two corners in the gravel traps, by now i was 2 laps down so retired. Grats to the class winners , great drive by Claus after spinning.

well qual went pretty bad but it was really close up at the top except for CJ's usual 1 sec gap. Started in 5th and start went well, CJ seemed to have problems with T2 then went clean off in T3. I think mo went off not long after and that left me chasing Krue, chasing JonM and we were all 3 within a second. Jon seemed to start getting loose and I was right on him and somehow blew T3 and slid off sending me back to 5th. Reeled in Nakano in a few laps and he got loose coming out of 2 so I thought I could get him b4 3. was able to get up beside him but I guess the grip is a lot less offline in the rain so I locked up taking both of us out :'( Sorry man I thought I could get by clean. Anyway took my drive through for my penance and set to work again. Got back up to 3rd before my pit and went early as usual. Came out in 5th then to 4th when someone pit and was about 40 sec behind Nakano who had not pit I guess. Went to work and was taking big chunks out of him but with about 10 min to go and like 9 sec down on 3rd I went off on the back side into grass. I thought i could just graze the wall and get back on but there must have been a jog in the wall there cause as soon as I got close Wham, stopped me dead, knocked off splitter and killed the engine which wouldnt restart. Game over Anyway everyone seemed to do great and was fun while it lasted, see you in Estoril
