sorry i didnt make it last night, had intended to run the C6 for first time, but missus was very ill and thought i'd best do the gentleman thing and keep her company/look after her. It was only a fun race after all, otherwise she was on her own  Wink Grin

Sorry Pete, didn't want to be critical.  Undecided    It's not fair to name some, but not others and I had a good time yesterday. Also, 'cause of the random grid the start was more interesting, even if it was rolling. Many more battles than usual, with more drivers.  Smiley   Though H@l drove off, lucky front haddock.  Cheesy

TT

Great race with Legzy....we literally ran the race nose to tail,
That really was great fun JPS. I knew you were a little quicker then I was, but I was driving well for me & my car had speed at the right points to keep you from getting ahead... so indeed a fantastic tussle  Smiley. It was my only lapse in concentration the whole race that saw me introduce my wing mirror to a wall, that cost me about 8 secs and allowed you to get past.... Sadly once you were ahead I just couldn't keep up.

Legzy you were warping every now and then..hence for the little tap towards the end..although I came off worst and lost 5 seconds to you.
I'm really sorry, I didn't know (didn't realise we'd had contact either) I was warping. I don't think I have warped before either so decided to investigate detective. Turns out that the wife had decided to upload about 1Gb worth of photo's to the net also on the WLAN while I was racing. She has been dealt with death.

I manage to nip past JPS but Dave seemed to get collected when JPS got a bit sideways.
I think it was actually Legzy who spun across my nose
Happy to report it had nothing to do with me (this time)  Grin

Hehe,  Grin

That did work in my favour, allot, Smiley, just a shame I threw it all away with a lame pit stop. API, mr_oily and Lazlow were all about the same speed as me at the front and chasing them did not seem to effect my lap times at all, which also helped. Wink

Right, I remember some close laps with Mr. Oily and when we (I think with Gazza) finally managed to pass him, he drove into the sand and disappeared. Err, it wasn't personal.  Cheesy   You're on good pace with the car (DBR, was it?), Mr. Oily, I'm looking forward to next races.  Smiley

Looks like another good test race.  Smiley

I was able to spend some time praccying yesterday and was lapping in the 1:53's with the Saleen...so it would have put me in the mix.

Cars look pretty well 'adjusted' with lap times and nothing standing out as the 'dominant force'. Grin

Well done TT, and my teamies too....all up there again.  Wink

I started the race pretty well Grin...managing to hold my own with Oily and H@l at the front, but they we're just too fast for me and as soon as they got past they both disappeared into the distance. I was having to thrash the pants off the C6R to keep up the pace and because of this I shredded the tyres and had to pit early...that's where the race went pear shaped....I think I need to spend more time on my pit strategy, I got it completely wrong Huh. Any hows...I enjoyed the race immensely, even if I did finish the race last Smiley Cheers all

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING.

I could actually keep TT off for for more then 3 laps...  Shocked in the first 10-15 minutes of the race how the darn did that happend Huh
That I had a lossy fuel strategy that made my car stop on the 39 lap is something I can take... 3 WHOLE laps.... Shocked  I'll never get over this.
I will definitely be in this season with the ol Lister and that new "SUPER DUPER BRITISH BEEF= Aston Martin- DBR9"
Great job with new cars/mod, I hope there will be some more "Stripes/paint scheme" on them for the 09 season  Wink
I feel more competitive now after about 1 year of SimRacing, but I still need to learn allot about keeping my head cool in thous stressfull situation that occur time to time in a race  Cool
I said it before and I'll say it again. " It's better to be safe.. then sorry"
Grats to Podium drivers and to all others that kept out of my way when I "plowed" my way throe the field. lol

But until then... Drive it like you stole.

Would some be kind enough to host the replay anyliser file? Would be interested to see laptimes for everyone as the results above only list the fastest laps.

Gotta say that was one of few races that i've actually enjoyed, actually had people to race against Tongue Though It has shown that next season i need to try and limit myself to just two classes to try and give me time to practise and get comfortable with the car.

I have the same problem and I have taken the decision to only drive GT1 in either Lister Storm (Racing Version) or the Aston Martin DBR9 (If it is going to be available in season 09)
I will never be as fast as thous that has fallen for the "RED" decease, but I will hopefully gain some other attributes that is just as important as in putting one self on the podium... ninja
The Lister is NOT slow on tracks like Brno or twisty tracks like it. My PB in the Lister at Brno is a respectable 1.52.621.
I might with a race setup maybe do times in the region 1.53-54 or at the same pace as a DBR9.
The thing is (as I see it) that the Lister have a narrow line of how big of an error or misstake you can do before it snaps at you with the result of an NO win situation. (Gravels or the barrier in my case)
However the car in the right hand will make ANY Ferrari or Saleen driver furious... if you drive it fast and can do so at a consistent pace making them unable to shake you off  Grin
Lack of top speed and HP makes the car very hard to race with when there is other cars that have 20-35 HP more and are not as a hard to drive consistent with at race pace. My help to you right now, is.
Drive slower to gain a more precise cornering technique with better speed OUT of the corner then IN to it. (in just changing you'r race line a bit you might step on the throttle earlier out of the corner)
Further more I urge you to buy 2 books "Speed secrets & Inner speed secrets" by Ross Bentley.
Thous books are made for race drivers by a race driver, and when we now are driving a SIM that is mimicking that sport it's easier to learn from thous that has the knowledge and have driven for a longer period of time.
And ask here on the forum or at the server on how to set up the car up better for a specific track ( I am known to be a "PAIN" in the rear...cause I never stop asking  Grin )

Thats probably why my Team manager want's me in the "Oil pit" where I do minimum damage and are out of harms way... right boss  Grin
