Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) Driver lists can be found on the Championship standings page (https://www.simracing.org.uk/smf/index.php?action=LM2R&group=374&theme=5)
(4) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read
Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car
If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable.

Special Notes: None.

Absolutely, didn't realise that moderns were offered as a choice?

For many of us today is salary day. As we still have a deficit please consider donating a little towards our running costs. If everyone gave £3 we would back back in the black.
Thanks in advance
Tony

I'm hoping to race, and will chip in a little tomorrow when I'm on the right pc to do so.

Just to confirm though, I see the car i've practiced with offers Tyres called: 600L 16 CR48 by default, although there is an option to change to vintage.

Having now tried both, I hope that the 600L 16 CR48's are allowed, as I struggled to get through the banking on the vintage tyres option (though maybe once warmed up they'd have been better).

Great race last night with a battle with GT that lasted the whole event. We both swopped places either me passing GT on the straights or him catching me at the twisty's and then we did it all over again. You just cannot get the power down quick enough in these cars as they spin out if you try to give them to much power too soon. Add to that the banked track and the tyre wear and it became a very tricky prospect just to keep these mighty motors on the tarmac. Glad to make it to the flag tho and congrats to everyone who finished. Next ones at Spa  8)

With so few of us here last night I was expecting an uneventful and boring race, but it turned out to be a corker. The Maseratis were hard to drive in a straight line, but even more tricky getting out of the corners. At close to 200mph around the banking and with the cars moving around, a race ending crash was never far away  :o

Had a great race with Tony and Matt and had to chase them down a few times after I'd made errors. Eventually managed to keep it together long enough to take the win.

Championship gets interesting now as we move onto Spa (one of my favourite tracks  8)) and I'll need to make sure I pick the right cars if I'm going to have a chance of closing the points gap.

Good one for me too although I was chanceless against the power of the Maseratis and Ferraris,
but I had to choose the Jag because I wanted to keep my last Aston drive for Spa or Bathurst.
After a stop & go penalty in the opening stages I had to outrun Bill again, apart from that a very
quiet and lonely race.

Still loving these cars!

Also not my favourite track, the mismatch of concrete sections on the banking seems to be an inherent problem with all the old concrete banked tracks (eg Brooklands) - as they aged sections settled at different rates.

That said, it was very interesting. Prior to the race I couldn't string together 2 consecutive timed laps. Running last at end of first lap, Kurt had pitted.  That gave me the incentive to press on,  Kurt was catching me at a fast rate and passed me on one of the banked sections.  I put in a sequence of 3:16 laps a couple of seconds faster than my previous PB. I started to reduce the gap to Kurt who I guess had backed off. in an attempt to close the gap even faster I started accelerating earlier and then lost it on exit of the first banked section, spun hitting the barrier almost flat in fifth.  When I came to rest I saw a Tyre needed replacing, made it to the pits and had 2 min stop to sort it all out.  After that ran through to the end finishing 3 laps adrift but with a PB into the 3:15s.
