Sorry chaps, but I'm unlikely to make this race - 10% chance only Who's gonna be first to beat my GTL rank time of 1'15.8? Reckon pole will be around 15.5... Stu Not me as I'll be in the Healy, going more sideways than forwards. Best was to prevent being overtaking, block the corners

Saw Shark's ad on RSC and thought, that looks good! I'll try to be there (if my partner grants me leave!), I've yet to install Trois-Rivieres, so don't expect me to be quick, I'll still be learning it. Seems the Healey is most popular, maybe I'll try the Alpine to balance it up, although I've a little more experience of the Healey.
If I can't make this one, I'll try to join a few races in the future.

Welcome onboard Steve, good to see new faces in GTL I may be joining you in an Alpine, feels like a tarmac rally car in this tight track layout, though lacks the grunt of the Healeys.

Nice to see you Steve. I'll probably take the Healey cause we have a Team Shark painted one, but I'm tempted by the Alpine cause I always take the Healey.

1.15.8? I'll be more then happy if I can do a couple of sub 1.18 laps and stay out of the walls with the Alpine

1.15.8? My thoughts exactly. I busted my butt off all week to sneak in some 1:18s

I am pretty much ready to give up GTL, at least with add-on tracks. Half decent qually and was looking forward to the race; took a tight line through the final right hander as we formed up and got what I thought was a cut warning - but was actually a Stop and Go. Er... why?! I must've read it out loud to my teammates but my brain filed it under "1 cut warning - be slightly careful" and I didn't stop and go... and was promptly DQd at the end of my second or third flying lap. Frame rate wasn't great either. I don't remember the last time I had a really good GTL race and I'm really wondering why I'm bothering.

To finish first, first you must have fins.

I had a great first UKGTL race! NOT Qualifying was ok with a 10th place (as far in front as I felt comfortable with in my first race anyway). I spun out in the second corner after the start and overshot the corner after the main straigh shortly thereafter. I went on a couple laps more, but after spinning a couple times more with the wonky suspension I noticed I was already 50+ seconds behind. So I decided to retire before getting in the way of the faster guys. I'm working next thursday, so hopefully I can make the race after that.

you can't keep yourself away from the classics? Great battle for 10th early in the race - with whomever was in the White Austin - untill I pushed to hard and spinned it Head some great comeback battles untill a spin here and there near the end, then my car got all tore up on the last 10 laps. Tyres were starting to slip a bit, and my suspension needed to be replaced to stay in the race! Don't know how you guys can pull 1:15s, but I need to know where to download your cheats

Bit of fun wasn't it! Well, slinging the Healy was - my race was a little dull, never really had any close fights altohugh I was chasing (I forget) for a good few laps and that was about it.
Given how poor I am at controlling drifts etc I quite enjoyed it.
Cheers all, and hats off to those alien types at the front .... I hadn't even gotten under 1:20 before tonight so to hit 1:18.6 I was amazed.

Got a pb in qualy so well pleased with that, and the race was an absolute scream! Fighting with Shark, Assassino, Baracus and an almighty scrap with Ruskus at the end, fuel was totally wrong, ended up with half a tank, so tyres felt as though they were going off at the front but the Healey's spinny rears easily compensate! I had to reduce some details even for my 8800GTS so this track is quite a lot more detailed imo. But I find it quite a nice one tbh, although I'm always a bit nervous with the walls and the Healey's tendancy to dance under braking! All in all another one to savour. Grats to the podium too, those Alpines are monsters here under braking!
