As a 'volunteer' (cough) to lead the grey team of part-timers it seems to make sense that we keep a running thread so we don't end in chaos and give Evil a headache on race nights.
The cars we have to use are;
Chapperal 2D
Mirage
Ford GT40 MK1

That leaves us with 70 tokens which more then covers any combination of the current part-timers;
Geoff / Juha / Steve B / Vosblod.

As we have four drivers and only three spaces probably easiest if we enter each event on a first come first served basis. We also need to try and rotate the chassis between us, although meeting the requirement of all drivers driving all 3 cars at least 3 times during the season may be a little unachievable.

So I'll just stick a post under here prior to each event, just reply with the chassis you want. If we get all five the last respondents will be a back-up drivers. Chassis selection will be in order of posting too but I'll run a tally of how many times you drive each one so we don't overstep the rule;

If anyone else signs part-time you are welcome to join us on the same basis. If we get one more, ie six, we'll probably have to call it closed so everyone gets a fair shot.

I think I'm good for this, certainly nothing cropped up yet.

If I may take the 2D for this one as seemed to get on ok with it at BREASTS last night.  If anyone else really want to use it I'm really not bothered what car I have.

Looks like I'm in the Blue team, I wish you guys well on the track but I won't make it easy for you  ;D

Guys, sorry looking like I'm not going to make it. Martial arts stuff has over run a bit so will likely be too late back.

Oh dear I had this pencilled in as one to miss, the three places being filled. Consequently I have done no practice whatsoever and don't really know the track.
I'm pencilled in to start the server so might just take the Mirage, start at the back and look to keep out of harms way in the hope of a few team points...

Hope it turns out better than the same strategy at Goodwood.  :laugh:

Well not great but just by being there we scored over the other teams missing ones ;)

Went swimmingly...right up until the screen freeze that is....... ???

Another freeze. What's going on? They seem to be so much more frequent recently.

Would re-installing the rasterizers periodically cure this problem you think? After all, they are only software.......which degrades in quality over time with use as bits and pieces become 'lost'. Might try getting the V2 rasters again and re-installing them......just to see what the outcome is.

love the track, but getting increasingly difficult for me to find time to drive.  Things are getting very busy with new jobs and house move pending so cannot commit to any races.

Sorry to hear that mate, but no worries......home comes first. Hope the new job works out but I DON'T envy you moving. We'll manage for a bit I reckon. Good luck with it all.

OK so that leaves the Mirage then. I'm out all day Sunday and not sure when I'm going to be back so was going to leave the third spot for Steve.
Guess if you can't make it Steve I'll give it a go if I'm back in time.

I may be able to get there yet, and we're not moving yet, there is no set date we just know its in the next couple of months, but there's a lot of other stuff going on which is taking up time.  If I can get there I will, I just wont know until just before the race.

Ok looks like I'm going to make it tonight, I the seat is still available. Don't mind though, I know it's a late call :)

from my side its maybe difficult to win next race at Kyalami,  i was struggle with 2d all slow corners and Kyalami is full of slow and mid speed corners.  ;D

The M1 may suit you for Kyalami much better than anything else. The Mk1 would lose too much on acceleration and the long straights. I guess it's my turn for the Ford Snail this race eh?

Mirage is ok

Lost track a bit of who has taken what chassis but as long as we make sure things are swapped a bit shouldn't be an issue.
I'm not around tonight so will leave you guys to carve up which beasts you are mounting.

Well, guess I'll take the chap, but I'm not very fast in it at all at Kyalami, I was around 4 seconds a lap off the pace at the breasts race.

Probably easier to use Paul's chassis table in the race thread then the one I did. Looks like you have taken the Mk1 and Mirage twice Juha so guess the 2D would be in order to balance things up for Adelaide if you are going for that one?

Not 100% I can make Le Mans tonight (depends on kids) but going by the tables the Mirage is out, unless we get three entrants, which leaves the Mk1 and 2D. Juha has taken the 2D three times but the Mk1 twice. To try and balance it up I guess I should take the 2D...

mk1 ,  not the best choice for Lemans  :P ;D

I have taken the chap and the Mk 1 twice and the Mirage only once so I was going to use the Mirage to even my usage up, is that not what I should use then?

It's gotten a bit complicated but, as I'm taking the 2D and we have to use separate chassis, that sounds fair.
