Are you going to start getting tough & demote some peopel yet GT?
Would be nice to see some of the lower cars being used & that would potentially bring a couple more people into the competative zone who've struggled so far.
Once again, feel free to demote me, I'd have had another podium in the Marsh at the last race I reckon.

I think we ran Jerez in GTR the last time? I'd like to take Cheever's car again, so I can properly conclude the testing.

A difficult one. I don't want to force people into cars that they don't want to drive, as I think that would put some off or detract from their enjoyment. Maybe try the Williams at Suzuka and see how it compares? We've been quite good at choosing suitable cars so far I think and the laptimes at Suzuka again reflected this. Navin was a bit quick, but he's a bit quick anyway and the Lotus is already quite far down the pecking order. There's usually a spare Minardi or Zakspeed available if he wants to battle it out further down the grid. TT and Ade had quick laps in race but also had to suffer greater tyre degradation later on which I think balanced them out. I suspect Jerez will throw up different results from Suzuka with the better handling cars doing well. Also half RL race length (72/2) is getting on for 50 minutes here so that will force some drivers to pit for tyres. Half race length at Suzuka was 40 minutes and that's a huge difference. If we do decide on running a full season of half distance races which is my hope, there will be so many variables from race to race it will be extremely difficult to pick out a champion, which I believe makes it an exciting prospect.

Hope you can join us Geoffers As a guide, my best lap so far in the Benetton is a 1:23, but I had to put in a fair bit of practise to achieve that. Here's some inspiration if anyone needs it (but might not be available to those outside of UK)..... http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/motorsport/formula_one/8654608.stm

This is something I have considered and if we'd had more takers I'd have rolled them out. We have permission to use/host it and the cars are at least as good as the ones we have now. There don't seem to be any compatibility issues either. The only problem is that all the cars are about the same pace as the Minardi and Zakspeed, which might mean the more popular household names in our current bunch will be a bit too quick. If everyone wants to give it a try and report back, maybe we can consider a test in the next race.

I found the Minardi quicker than the Zakspeed. Shame I didn't manage to give it a run out at Suzuka. If I can sort out the engine starting issue, I'll give it another go here.

My goodness, how many laps did you do in them all?!!! Must have taken you ages. It also seems you found them to be in roughly the same order at GT did, which is good.
