To digress from all this very serious track cutting stuff
Very pleased to be able to get it home in 2nd place, given the pace of the other cars here. Otto was untouchable in the BMW and qualifying only put me in P6, so I thought my only chance of a good result would be from being consistent and taking advantage when other people made mistakes...and it worked
Didn't get away particularly well, but the Porsche held its own in the twisty stuff until the start/finish straight, at which point I got picked off by one car after another. After the first few laps had settled down I was surprised to be staying in touch with the leading pack (probably squabbling amongst themselves), so was able to gain when they fell off.
A nice bit of teamwork from Clive near the end let me escape and hold onto a podium while he fended off Frederico, which resulted in a nice haul of team points.
On top of all of that, my brake pedal started to give up the ghost at the beginning of qualifying
Second time it's happened since I've had them (I must have a heavy foot). Had to turn the sensitivity up so that I wouldn't exert too much pressure and make it worse, it was quite a challenge getting used to it in the first few laps. I've ordered a replacement part from Fanatec which should hopefully be here before the next race (I should hope so anyway, given the extortionate price they charge for delivery!).
