My first race with you guys, and actually my first official league race, had a blast though it didn't go completely without incidents. Qualified in last position, was left behind when I didn't realize the conditions were improving and everyone else was lapping faster and faster. In the race I gained a few positions, and apparently got a bit too excited when I rear-ended Prof on lap 4. Felt really bad for screwing up his race and decided to punish myself with a drive-through. I think I bent my splitter in the incident as well and had to do my pit stop for repairs on the following lap. With the fuel-loaded heavy car and tyres wearing out I had a hard time keeping up with the pace, let alone closing the gap, so I just tried to hang on and finish. The rest of the race was mostly an exercise in dodging lapping cars, at least got some good experience for future races. Sorry for the incident Prof, I should have been more careful. I hope I can take part in the next race, really enjoyed your organized racing compared to the chaotic public servers.

That would've been a great race had the game not dq'd my qualifying for rolling backwards across the grass! Should've been 5th but instead I had the unenviable task of being a GT1 behind a huge mass of GTCs and I knew then I'd be lucky to finish in the top-6. First lap I had an absolute nightmare, the closing rate was insane and I was caught out a couple of times- especially when people seem to be leaving gaps, or just do emergancy stops on the racing line under braking, both of which happened on a couple of occasions over the race distance. Once the initial 2 laps were over, I was over half a minute behind the leader, which was pretty bad. Of a more pressing concern though was my oil temperature, which was 105 degrees and at that point I almost quit, but through short-shifting I managed to keep it to no more than 108. I had a moment when Dave spun, and someone else spun in sympathy who I couldn't avoid, cost me a few seconds and some damage but I did make a couple of places. Next was Mo and Pribero, though Mo was warping so much that the first time I caught up I had to veer out of the way as his car appeared to freeze briefly, that cost well over 10 seconds. A few laps later I had another go, and eventually got passed a lap or 2 after being clouted into T1 by someone when we were filtering passed traffic, not sure what happened there. As people pitted I ended up in the lead, until my own stop that took quite a while to repair the damage I'd received. I came out in 6th, just behind SBG- though I slipped through a small gap when SBG and Adam had their moment. Second lap out of the pits was the only lap I was able to run full-tilt which ended up the fastest lap of the race, I ended up catching Shark very quickly but getting past took a few laps anyway! Once that was over I just sat back and conserved the engine, which was down to 77%, and had hit 110 degrees whilst behind Shark (hence my haste to get into clean air!) Very relieved to finish 4th from 28th, grats to the podium! One point, can the results export be corrected? It's showing me starting in 5th when I was dq'd and started at the back. Thanks

Idiot of the week award goes to... <drum roll>.... ME! I managed to start the race on soft wet tyres instead of soft slicks The net result was that I had to pit after 5 laps with melty tyres, switch to mediums and try to take care of them for the remaining 70 mins. I just about managed it but I think it cost me a shot at the podium. Still, that's a great team result for us finishing 1st, 3rd & 4th. Congrats to Adam on his win, great drive I thought the GT's did an amazing job on a very difficult track, you guys were impeccably patient with me, many thanks. Big sorry to Pops who I ran into when I thought he was letting me lap him
No problem Dave, I was taking that corner very wide and it was only at the last second I thought you might see that as an invitation to pass, no harm done, I just bounced off you like a 2CV going into the side of a Sherman Tank! I love that track, I hope we see it back again sometime in the future

I was left in the dilemma that I could race hard for the win and risk it, or back off and let Freq go. I choose the first until Freq made a move stick and I knew I did not have any chance of getting in front again. My engine health was in the 60's even though I never went too hard with the revs and my radiator opening was at 4, the maximum for the lister. I pretty sure if I did push it to chase Freq or I had to defend my lead for a few more laps the engine would not have lasted. The engine blew up when I tried a wheelspin at the end.

My race ended before it started really. I led GTC qual for most of the time, and was just going out to try and leapfrog Andy in the last 5 minutes when the car started behaving very oddly - as soon as I went to 2nd gear the revs went to the red line almost instantaneously, and the other gears did exactly the same. I escaped to the garage and checked the setup to see if I'd some loaded something daft like an elise setup, but everything looked fine. Going out again didn't help either. I assumed I'd found a bug (I already had some screen corruption so this wasn't totally unexpected) and had to wait to see if the new session would clear it. As soon as we moved off on the pace lap I knew it hadn't, so I pulled over and escaped out With nothing better to do I watched the race for a while, and about 10 mins in I idly glanced at the pedals - why the @%$^ was the clutch pedal right to the floor? A couple of minutes of scrabbling around under the desk provided the answer: the bar which anchors all three springs on my Speed 7s had worked its way loose and slid out from the clutch pedal so that gravity was able to press the clutch on its own. Easily fixed, but rather frustrating that I didn't realise earlier, as all I needed to do was map the clutch to a button I can't be too hard on the Speed 7s though. That must be the first time they've let me down in five and a half years of use, and they didn't break, just came loose. It' a shame to miss another race, but it was fun watching some of the battles Congrats to Freq and Adam, and hard luck to Reign Man who had it inthe bag until his unfortunate GT1 contact

Lower revs by 200 or something. Not sure if that also helps with autoclutch, but it helps me keep engines alive, and I don't really need those last 200 revs anyway, as I never redline on a straight. I only need that for the upshifts which redline briefly due to no clutching.

I was very rarely giving it everything, I was shifting early enough. People always talk about the Lambo engine being weak, but I can go 80mins giving it big revs and only lose a few percent. I will need to work out this lister's engine.

I just can't see to stop the engine health dropping in this car. I was trying to pace myself first half of the race and still lost a few percent.

The engine blew up when I tried a wheelspin at the end.
The only problem I had was lowering the vent to 2 from 3 because it was wet, and my engine was running at 80 in quali- so it was purely self-inflicted! This is the first time I've ever had the Lister drop more than 5% health over 80 mins. You must have been doing something, I finished on 76% health despite my engine temp never being lower than 100!!! I can only assume you were maybe hitting the limiter when downshifting? I always run with full revs with zero issues, as long as the vent is open to keep the car under 100 degrees it's fine- unless you use manual clutch and abuse the engine like JR

I always run full revs as well, but for longer that 80 minutes I drop some revs, because it will save the engine for me and I don't use those revs anyway. So even with lower maximum revs, I'm not slower than with full.

Most fun race yet I think, I do like this track.
Great driving Adam, I forgot how many times we passed each other, the side by side stuff was very cool.
Pleased to get pole, took me ages to put a good lap in but I knew I could do it.
I had started to pull out a small lead but I spotted some good looking Brazilian ladies in the grandstand, missed my braking spot for turn one, then bounced off the barrier in the Senna S.
I made loads of errors, so iam very pleased to get second.
Bad luck Reign Man.
thanks and well done all.
