Championship Standings here Grid/server capacity: 28 Practice: ~19:20 (60 mins) Qualifying: 20:20 (20 mins) Race: 20:40 (36 laps) Track: Pembrey Download thisCars allowed: Austin Mini Cooper, Lotus Cortina, Jaguar MkII, Ford Anglia Download this, Daimler V8 Download thisThe 5-speed Ford Anglia's are not to be used as they overheat and cook the engine.Car restrictions: Two drives maximum per make. Check your status hereTime of Day Setting: 14:00 Start: STANDING Tyre wear: Normal Fuel consumption: Normal Pit stops: Not required Server: simracing.org.uk Mondays Password: Race night password onlyNotes: (1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage. (2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules. (3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read Autopit="0" Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable. Special Notes: None

Yesterdays (03/03/2014) server outage continues today with a likelihood that our Windows install has been corrupted. Picnic is investigating.
If I am unable to get on to the server tonight to setup the next two races then they may be cancelled.
I'm hoping that Matt may be able to step up again but I am aware that he is often away from base so this may not be possible.
After tomorrow I will be relying on Thai hotel wi-fi so I may not be able to post here.
Thanks to great efforts by Picnic the server is back and GTL is running

IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ THISTwo weeks races are now running under one GTL server. For this race you must have both tracks (Pembrey & Melbourne) installed in your GTL install. All of the cars for both races are available. Do not enter a race with the wrong car If you arrive in the lobby and the wrong track is showing it's no problem. Continue into online GTL and go to Chat then select Event to force GTL to load the correct track. If your alone you will not need to vote. Just wait and the next track will load.

Just been reading the race post above and relating it to my my cars for Pembrey and I appear to have 2 Daimlers. One is 2.5ltr and the other 4.5 ltr....... Are we allowed to use either option or just the smaller engined armchair?

28 laps is only 30 mins race? 40 mins race would be 36 laps. I'm doing 66 secs in the angle some may go quicker it's going to be a very short race. I can set it at 36, but don't want to stick one's nose in
Edit: Voted to set race to 40 mins 36 laps.

Jolly good race with Coyote for the 1st half, some paint was swapped... and we swapped places a couple of times then I got the hang of braking more or less and managed to ease in front and stay there to the end. Big downer was Clive hurtling off the line with a Jump start. I watched you go and thought oh no!!! jump start shame you went, the 1st three grid slots were hundreths apart.

No worries Matt, you did good. If your around for Melbourne then that one could be shortened.

That was a nice short Track, and my Q time was acceptable, I felt I can do a good result but unfortunately right after the start of the race my connection was lost !
Hope to see you in the next race and Congrats for the winners
Cheers

Like Matt says, we had a great race in the first half, swapping the lead several times, and being side by side more than once. Eventually Matt got back in front and started to inch away in the 2nd half; I couldn't match the pace of his Anglia, despite my best efforts. Pity we lost Clive, Michel and Kurt along the way, but glad to see Bill is back with a working GTL installation. Michel, real bummer about the lost connection. I had a relatively close call myself; after a brief look at the replay after the race, I went to check the results page, and discovered that my ISP had severed my connection Very fortunate it didn't happen during the race. And Clive; have to say, when you do a jumpstart, you certainly do it with a vengeance.. Cheers, Erling
