Bugger, sorry you missed it but it has been plastered everywhere as I forgot to install it for last one Cry Hope to see you both, and Dan who was having same problem?, next week Damn.. Had only just got back off holiday and was itching to race so didnt see the new car. It was very frustrating tyring to do set up tweaks having to press the buttons in between 4 or 5 names flashing up....took me half off qually to put 20 laps worth of fuel in . Good race up till i got punted off and quit, As Dave said about the start manage to pass about 10 cars down the s/f straight and ended up 5th at the end of lap one after starting 16th or something!! Itching to do some more racing after being away for a couple of weeks, got an invite from iracing the otherday so will be trying that out soon as . see ya next time

You surprised me breaking a lot earlier than I did and couldn't stop in time. Waited for you but when you didn't show continued just to feel so rotten that I made a few sidesteps and ended up almost at the back of the field. Sorry again and better luck next time. See you, Evert

I am very happy for you. I hear this all the time. That doesn't mean other people don't. I've never seen a Russian. Doesn't mean Russia doesn't exist. Both myself and my best mate back in the UK had some very serious issues. We are not neophytes to computers. I have even done a ton of research into Starforce for a piece I wrote way back in 2005. The information on how it works, and the issues it can cause, are all out there online. I could go into long, explicit details, but I'll spare folk. Anyone who wants to know can PM me.
I have a friend who has done exactly what I did with GTL: Blown the dust off their GTL disk, installed and copied the unprotected stuff over the top, and he can race online just fine. I can't. So clearly there is, potentially, some other issue at work here.
I'm tempted to grab the DVD image and try installing from that. Maybe somewhere deep in it's bowels there is a difference that is causing this. I really want to join this league as slinging old cars about for an hour or so every week is... Well I don't think I've been this excited since my first race in GPL all those years ago.
I'll keep plugging away, see if I can sort this out, but Starforce is NOT an option under any circumstances.
Had a look on the net earlier, I didn't know it could cause that many problems. What about installing it with SF, patching it, making sure it works then removing SF? Maybe that would make a difference? It doesn't cause any problems if it's only on the PC for 1/2 an hour does it?
