As a retired kamikaze....
I can only apologise for my woeful efforts. At first I couldn't touch the brakes without the car spinning. Finally found a brake balance that meant I could (just about) keep it in a straight line but I did find once or twice that stamping on the clutch is not a very effective way of stopping. Not sure I can bear to watch the replay.
By race two I felt I could give Bill a race and for a few laps I could and then I outbraked myself (again) and lost ten seconds. He maintained that gap brilliantly but I can definitely feel a bit of a rivalry growing, which I hope he is enjoying as much as I am.
Once again, apologies to anyone I pranged. None of it was intentional and I will try and make a better job of staying out of the way next time.
lol Woz-it-U in the white headband?? I had no idea who it was, I just saw a car flash past on my inside when I already thought I had maybe overcooked the last of the late brakers move
At first I thought it must be one of the aliens coming back after an "off" and showing us all how it should be done!...but quickly noted
that perhaps this particular alien was headed for orbit and not the next straight. I don't think you were the only one, I am sure someone had arranged a Kami kaze veterans reunion and people were throwing themselves into the party.
Lol no, I think that kami-honor befalls me Clive
Found it a difficult track, even in solo practice, as it offers few or subtle visual cues as braking points. In that instance, I was not on my usual approach-line to that corner, and thus missed those subtle cues. Tried desperately to brake, locked wheels, and before I could release them and try to steer past poor Evert, I had already collected him - and Tony in the process. Sorry again guys.
Do hope you'll stick with GTL Clive - then even after a disastrous race like that, one can at least look forward to your race report
Good fun both races, managed out drag Erling at least once, I think being used to the
3 - 2- 1- GO helps
Hehe, now that really isn't much of an accomplishment, considering I'm probably the worst starter in the history of GTL
Very familiar with the 3-2-1 system, just can't for the life of me figure out how to best get off the line. Maybe I should consider getting me one of them clutch pedals of which Bill speaks...
Cheers,
Erling
