Would like to hear feedback on the server performance tonight if it's a full grid again please.
We may be trying things in the background to see what the server can cope with (probably during practice, possibly qualifying sessions). Trying to ignore the join lags and leave lags if it's different from yesterday or unexpectedly bad performance, stutters, pings, let us know, we'll be watching on the server to see your chat messages as well as post race analysis.
If we could avoid using the overflow servers until after then and overflow people can hang around then overflow people can get a race on smaller home based servers of probably 7 or 8 drivers a bit later starting than the main event.
Thanks.

its a real shame we cant have some standing starts without the carnage :'( Be great for a single make series maybe?
The perfect way would be to have a proper formation lap, 2 abreast, as in the real GT races, not being able to accelerate until the pace car pulled off (dont they work in GTR2?) and not being able to overtake until you cross the line.
Last nights formation lap was a real mess with people bunching up and stopping on track. For some reason we were going so slow on the s/f straight that even with my limiter on i kept nudging the car in front and being nudged from behind. I think the limiters need to come on a lot sooner to allow the bigger field to sort themselves out and get into formation with their limiters on.

Not sure a pace car would solve this unless it was going so slowly no one had a chance to accelerate

Problem with the formation lap yesterday was that some peeps don't take the effort to read the rules. After I noticed I was going a bit too fast, I switched to bonnet view and drove the whole lap at 100kp/h. Between Rivazzi and Variante Bassa I engaged the pit limiter. You can see in the replay that many did not have the limiter engaged

ok i'm a new guy here but I've taken the time to read through the rules.
is there registration for the event or first-to-turn-up? I'd definitely like to participate tonight if it's possible.

It's usually up before hand for practice. You can see the last known server status in the NEWS BOX at the top right of the forum.
