Spent a few hours on it tonight. Thank the mighty big fish in the sky, the triple screen rendering works! Some minor gripes about HUD positioning, for which they now give you some minor options configured in a wierd and hard to use way and the virtual mirror FOV needs fixing still, but they are minor things when the triple rendering means I can actually now judge turn in properly.
Changed my FF now to 100% gain, 10% min force, 100% dampening and 0% road effects, which seems to work better than before (still not as good as AC though).
Of course many little things I'd like changed, but hoorah for triple rendering.

I think I got the best result i could consider my disadvantage with the car. Even with Jonzo's damage in the slipstream I couldn't quite keep up and the Porsche, well that was just stupidly quick. Add to that that I have no choice but to change tyres cause the BMW on mediums is so far off the pace that I have to run softs (which have no chance of lasting) means I'm really struggling to make back all the time lost in the pits. Any chance of some car balancing to even it up? BTW, sorry to Stefan who was an innocent party when he rammed into my out of control car at the bus stop (which put me straight again, thanks! )

I took tyres and fuel. My tyres aren't going to last 50 mins and by taking tyres I can push as hard as possible for the whole race. Unfortunately I had to make the 15 seconds lost in the pits back up, which I did, but only on the 2nd last lap by which time I had little time to get past (which I didn't), so overall not much in it as far as no tyres vs tyres at the pit stop goes.
The problem with the BMW is that it's really hard to get past anyone cause it's so slow in a straight line. Even in the slipstream I can't keep up with anyone so I have to have a massive run out of a corner or be really really brave on the brakes to get past. Too many bumps on the track to be super aggresive on the brakes for an overtake at Sebring so I was relying on a mistake really.
Really had a lot of fun hunting for a podium but I had the feeling it wasn't going to be enough to be fast in the corners.
Not much I can do on setup, already running fairly low wing tbh, so the BMW really could do with a help on engine power.

Contractual deadlines force people's hands I think.
Again, lovely long list of fixes but no: 1) Fixed force feedback, or given options for enhanced understeer etc, like in AC. 2) No ability to move the sodding HUD elements on triple screen resolutions so that they're not all right at the far edges of the sodding screens. 3) No triple screen rendering option to stop the stretching and warping on the edge screens.
Despite all that, it's the only game I want to play single player on the PC!

Count me out of the 70s F1 cars, far too hard to drive and not much fun racing as a result.

It's really alive in AC, but in ACC it's a bit sub-dued imho. It's one of the better cars in ACC still.
Like you, I haven't spent ages with each car yet to see which one i like the best. I've spent loads of time in the other Porsche and then a little in the Audi and AMG and apart from that although I have tried all the other cars I've hardly done any laps in them.
I did a public server race last night in the Audi and it was so much better have a large grid of cars. Usual T1 lunatics but in general the behaviour was better then what I've seen in public servers before.

Max, that's exactly how I felt at Misano last night. Had no idea the car was going to spin until it had already happened. The FF does suck compared to AC imho and there is something not right with the physics especially at slow speed when you can be doing 60mph barely using throttle or steering and still spin.
Also the lack of proper triple screen support in ACC is getting more annoying as I do find it really difficult to judge where turn in should be cause of the side-screen warping.
It's really annoying as AC is so good and if they just added the weather and daylight effects from ACC I would be happy to continue with AC.
I like the GT cars cause they are not too hard to drive! I hate all those old cars, that require driving sideways, its too much effort to master.
At the moment, I'm thinking of trying iRacing again and it's been years since I touched that!
