Sorry but these cars just don't feel right to me! I have the brakes as low pressure as possible and fully bias to the rear and the fronts still lock up easy as anything! This track and these cars I know should be difficult but it just feels impossible! what does everybody else think??

Only from the driving these at Redbull ring but these do feel strange. I was running 50% bias there. I swear its because the cars by default have very little damping on the car so are naturally very low grip affecting steering braking and accelerating.

Spanner has commented on the lack of travel before, perhaps I am not driving as fast With the brakes set to - 48/52-95% the balance is just right for me I'm using a G27, there is some messages in the log in screen that talks about updating drivers for logitech, not sure whether I have or not. I will check. EDIT: I have checked, and I am using these latest drivers: http://support.logitech.com/en_us/product/g27-racing-wheel/downloads#

I think the biggest problem with the cup car is building enough heat in the tyres. They are the only car in raceroom (as far as I'm aware) that don't use tyre blankets and it seems to take 3 or 4 laps to get any grip at all out of them. I've had a few online races with them and haven't done very well but I still enjoy them. Unfortunately I'm working away again so won't be able to join the fun

I wasn't doing much better Bill, sort of got it together half way through and was chasing Eck and Dieter as they took turns to fall off, but then I got some hangs, and eventually message that the "Sky broadband diagnostics were running" and the screen went black. It's not fast here, but it rarely drops.

Sorry chaps, just wasn't with it yesterday. Completely unready/asleep at the start which screwed up Matt from the off (sorry Matt), and made several silly mistakes, all at the same corner. Then got a slowdown penalty and the engine cut caused me to spin - that was annoying. Other things to attend to, so parked it. Will do better next time!
Congrats podium.

Interesting race last night, was struggling a little early on until from no where I did a blinding lap ( well blinding for me ) Trouble is I felt it was sort of a one off, and so qualy came and went and I didn't get close to it Starting 3rd I got a good start and down the inside of Spanner in to Tarzan. Tried to keep it tight so he had room and was pleased to see his car pop up in my rear view mirror, now to chase Eck. He got sideways a couple of times but not enough that I could take advantage but 3rd time lucky as in the tight chicane Eck got a bit too sideways and I was passed. John seemed to get through at the same time. I then managed to keep a sec to 1.5 ahead for several long laps until something must have happened and the gap opened a bit, then a bit more. Still didn't pressure that practice lap time but then I was simply trying to survive! Funny I enjoyed that so much more than those horrid 599xx things in AC the night before

I think you have a particular strain of masochistitis Even though I threw it in to the wall under power, as I have for every ferri 599 event so far I found this to be at least as tough, but was sort of enjoying it until the conn dropped.

For me I think these Porkas slide better than the Ferrari, this means I have more chance of surviving a minor out of control moment. They understeer like crazy but just being patient usually recovers that, sometimes a dab on/off of power gets the front to bite a bit. For me once the Ferrari is understeering I can never scrub off the speed no matter how long I stay off the gas. If ever you do apply gas you just compound the understeer. If I've ever manged to get power oversteer then I generally can't catch it and crash. As for the fast corners there is a big chance of power oversteer and I'm again a goner, as I can't predict when it will happen my slow old reactions make me a passenger I don't mind losing a bit of time when I make a mistake but the 599xx is never a little time.

Indeed. but hey. I get to what I think are decent times in the 599, then sometime as you say quite unexpectedly I lose it under power, and I can't catch it. I suspect the traction control settings are backward the lower the number the easier it seems to drive. The porkas are just a bit slidey, I set the bars to most rear grip, so yes they do understeer, but "Usually" I can catch power slides. I like them, which is odd as I normally am alergic to rear engines.
